Survival Tactics: Using Unconventional Strategies to Navigate Dangerous Scenarios

If paraventure, I find myself in a situation where I'm being kidnapped, and the only possible way I can get them to angrily throw me out of their captive is by being talkative. This would be somewhat difficult for me because I'm an introvert and hardly talk, but then, for the sake of survival, I'll have to think deeply about a subject that I'm so well grounded in and could go on and on without getting tired until the kidnappers feel like they've had enough and throw me out. Below, I share my analysis of what I'll say or do.

After thinking deeply and searching my heart to find out what I can actually talk about over and over without getting tired, I came to realize one of my favorite niches that can make me an incessant chatter is something I deeply resonate with, and that's my hobby of acting, storytelling, writing, and the like. I'm the type of person who has grown so fond of reading stories from a tender age, and that inspires me to pursue and create mine.

Through the years, I've been fascinated by the idea of storytelling, and I've exhibited this in diverse ways, like acting in dramas, books (writing), jokes, and sharing fictional stories as though they were real to gain the attention of people, put a smile on their faces, or scare them off. I believe this part of me, especially in a way whereby I not only tell a frictional story but also act one before the kidnappers, as tough as it's real, could go a long way in setting me free.

So while writing this and realizing one of my favorite things is acting and telling stories, the idea of presenting myself as an educated madman came to my mind, and I realized this could really annoy these kidnappers to the point where they'll be like, So it's a mad man man we kidnapped thinking we've carried someone that'll give us a huge amount of money.

Through the years, while acting in churches and some community short plays, I've played the role of a mad man, both the typical one you see on the street that is usually dirty and those that usually dress neatly as though they're sane, and it's only when you move close to them or interact with them that you'll get to know they're not sane but very mad.

So how do I go about this? For the first few minutes, I might stay calm while they drive along, and then later on, I'll speak, talking to myself like a mad man who's academically sound but got mad and still can't help but indulge in talking about all the things he has read about or calculated, and doing this would make them probably beat me and think maybe I'm only doing that to fool them.

But then, that's the beauty of being an actor. When acting most of this scene on a normal day, we try as much as possible to make it real, and regardless of how much someone beats us or makes a funny face while we act, it won't make me flinch, but I'll continue in the act to get that role played perfectly, so I believe that ability will come in handy, as I'll keep talking about related stuff, like probably discussing how I did a chemistry titration.

Like talking to myself about how they should get me the titrant solution that I'll add to my analyte until I can get a reaction to show my findings are going in the right direction, so I can use the volume gotten to calculate my concentration. While doing that, I could as well jump onto physics and start defining some laws like gravity, effort, work, and the like, saying all this would make the kidnappers feel like we've picked up the wrong person.

And I'm sure within themselves they'll deliberate, like, how can we get the phone number of the relative of this mad man, someone that can't even relate to what we're saying? It's better we drop him off and look for someone else who's sane, who's in the right state of mine to understand what we want, and as well provide details of his relative to pay for ransom.

Although most of this still depends on the temperament of the kidnappers, if not those who also do rituals, then my fate is in their motivation and temperament. If it works in my favor, then I know they'll be frustrated and annoyed to the point where they'll angrily get me off their car in no time so they can look for another prey.

But then, like I said, it all depends on their intention and motivation, but left for me, I'm certain I can play the role of disguising as a madman so well to the point of fooling the kidnappers to think I'm truly mad, and they'll see me as a bad market for their intention of getting ransom from me or my relatives.
