The Job I Dreamed, The Job I Got #302
Every kid, while growing up, usually has a dream job that they wish to do when they grow up, although in most cases this doesn't turn out to be as long for, however some children grow up and still end up in the profession they dreamt of doing as a child now that they're adults. I can vividly remember how my class teacher during my primary school days asked the students a question when I was younger. The question was aimed at knowing our dream job, and while everyone responded with prestigious professions, my response put the classroom in an uproar of laughter. Find out what it's below.

My response was that I wanted to be an hairdresser, better known as hair styles today, it was funny because it's not among the professionals that was given high regard during those times, and it was shocking that other students were mentioning prestigious white-collar jobs such as doctors, pilot, lawyer and the likes and out of no wear I said I want to be an hairdresser. Well, the reason why I love that profession as it is is because I have a shop close to our house where a hairdresser uses for her craft, and I so much adore what she does with women's hair. Well, the dream didn't last long because my parents don't buy the ideal of my dream job because they felt that is supposed to be the job for a woman.
Fast forward to the present day, although I'm not a hairdresser as I dreamt of becoming as a child, I've still learned the skills a little and can do basic styles of hair doing. But then, talking about my current profession now that I'm an adult and since I didn't find myself in the profession in my childhood dream job. Today, I'm a teacher and the subject I teach is computer science, others refer to it as ICT, interestingly, even though teaching wasn't the career I imagined for myself, still it runs in the family, as it was my father's profession and I find myself loving it because of the opportunity I've to shape minds and mold destiny of the next generation.
Looking back I understand my parents concern about me not going into that field of hairdressing, and I don't think it's a wasted ambition, because our ambition as kids is often shaped by what catches our attention, while adulthood presents opportunities and being responsible to pick a path that we never knew existed in the first place, cause I never wanted to be a teacher in the first place, but I grab the opportunity to find myself there, when other opportunities wasn't showing fort.
That's about it for my dream job as a child and what I'm into now as an adult. What is yours?
