Unyielding Determination: Navigating Challenges with Tenacity

Tenacity is what propels an individual forward towards a course or goal in the face of challenges; the act of being resilient enough to continue chasing a course despite loads of difficulties is another definition that best describes it. As an individual, this is one of my key characteristics that I've exhibited on several occasions, and it is present in my life as it grants me the privilege to achieve my goals and even attain heights many thought I wouldn't, and today I'd love to share some of such experiences with you.

Immediately after I graduated from high school, I had this desire to learn a skill, and so I informed my parents about my ambition to learn tailoring. My mom was fine with the idea, but I was of the opinion that I couldn't learn any skills, and the only thing he wants from me is to focus on my education, gain admission to the university, and get a white collar job.

Even though I promised him that I wouldn't let the skills acquisition affect my studies, he refused, and so I had no choice but to give in to his bid. I later gained admission to the university after some years, and since it's far from home, I reignited my dream of acquiring skills I'm passionate about. While I was studying at the university, I was learning the skills alongside, and even before I graduated from university, I had become so good that friends now sew their clothes with me.

It was a fulfillment for me that I was able to chase after something I'm passionate about, even though my dad threatened to disown me if I ever learned a skill and did not focus on my education so I could amount to something in life. My tenancy was what gave me the zeal to keep hope alive, and when I had a little freedom away from home, I grabbed it and utilized it towards doing something I loved. Funny enough, my dad later got to know about it and even wasn't mad again; instead, he requested that I sew clothes for him.

Another example where my tenacious spirits played out to help me was sometimes last year when I set a goal that I'd love to own the Hivebuzz yearly author badge, which requires me to publish a post every day of the year. I was doing that daily publishing quality content until one day my phone screen got damaged. It was the only device I accessed Hive with, and when I tried to repair it that same day, I was told it'd take at least 5 days before I'd get it back.

On a normal day, that would have shattered my hope of achieving that goal, but on a different day, a friend borrowed his iPhone for a day, and I took the opportunity to write five posts of over 500 words each, scheduled to auto-publish on different days. That was how I was able to achieve this milestone despite the great stumbling blocks that would have held me back, but my tenacity kept me going.

This was the blog post I published the same day it all happened, and after that, the four other posts that follow were auto published while I was away and unable to come onboard Hive. My resilience and tenacity were what made it possible for me to sit down and decide I wouldn't let that happen discourage me from chasing my goal, and I'm excited that in the end I sail through.

That's about it for now. I hope you enjoyed the read. Have a wonderful day ahead, and stay blessed.
