Farid Dieck [Analisis de película] ESP/ENG

I've wanted to share this channel with you for a while now, because I know there are many film lovers here on Hive, and I love movies too. That's why I'm always looking for content focused on the seventh art: news, movie trivia, behind-the-scenes footage, film analysis, etc. That's how the YouTube algorithm led me to Farid Dieck's channel. He does much more than just movie summaries; Farid is a psychologist, so he analyzes and delves into the scenes and characters of films in great detail. But even though his explanations are very detailed, they don't become dense or tedious because he gets straight to the point, without wasting time on digressions, unlike some other YouTubers I've seen with this type of content.
Desde hace tiempo que yo quería traer este canal para ustedes, pues yo sé que aquí en hive hay muchos amantes del buen cine, a mí también me gusta, por esa razón siempre busco contenido que esté enfocado al séptimo arte: novedades, curiosidades sobre películas, detrás de cámara, análisis de film, etc, fue así como el algoritmo de youtube me condujo hasta el canal de Farid Dieck, alguien que se dedica a hacer mucho más que resúmenes de películas, Farid es un psicólogo, así que se dedica a analizar y profundizar las escenas y personajes de las películas y lo hace de una manera muy detallada, pero aunque es muy detallado su explicación no se vuelve densa ni pesada porque él va directo al grano, sin perder tiempo en divagaciones, como si he visto que hacen algunos youtubers que tienen contenido de este tipo.
He analyzes films and characters of all kinds, explaining the reasons that might lead a character to think or act in a certain way, making comparisons to real life, and occasionally even suggesting a suitable approach or treatment of the subject. But he doesn't always analyze films; he also analyzes documentaries where he studies the behavior of real people, individuals who generally lead complex and nuanced lives.
Tiene análisis de películas, de personajes de todo tipo, explica las razones que podrían conducir a dicho personaje a pensar o actuar de determinada manera, hace comparaciones con la vida real y de vez en cuando hasta dice cuál podría ser un tratamiento adecuado o de que manera podría abordar el tema. Pero no siempre hace análisis de películas sino que tiene análisis de documentales donde estudia comportamientos de personajes reales, personas que por lo general llevan una vida compleja y llena de matices.
He also has a podcast called "Don't Talk to Strangers," where he talks with different people, some of whom are colleagues, and others who simply share their experiences on a particular topic. It's an outdoor exercise that feels liberating because it's a different environment, and as he himself says, although the program is called "Don't Talk to Strangers," he writes it with an X over the word "No" because what he's really trying to do is promote dialogue between people who don't know each other. One of the programs of this type that I liked the most was called "What Would You Do? Would You Kill 1 or 5 People?" because it sought to analyze how you would morally judge other people for their actions and why, but it does so through hypothetical situations. For example, the exercise consisted of imagining that you are traveling on a runaway train that is about to run over five people, but in front of you there is a lever that you can pull to divert the train to another location, but in that other location there is only one person.
También tiene una especie de Podcast que se llama "Noa hables con extraños" en el cuál con diferentes personas, algunas por ejemplo son colegas y en otras ocasiones personas que simplemente van a contar sus experiencias en determinado tema. Es un ejercicio al aire libre que se siente liberador ya que es un ambiente distinto, y como el mismo dice, aunque el programa se llame "No hables con extraños" él lo escribe con una X sobre la palabra "No" porque lo que busca realmente es promover el dialogo en personas aunque no se conozcan. Uno de los programas de este tipo que más me gustó fue uno que se llama " ¿Qué harías tú? ¿Matas a 1 o 5 personas?" ya que en él se buscaba analizar de que manera juzgarías moralmente a las demás personas por sus actos y porqué, pero lo hace a través de situaciones hipotéticas. Por ejemplo el ejercicio consistía en imaginar que viajas en un tren sin frenos que está a punto de atropellar a cinco personas, pero frente a ti hay una palanca que puedes jalar para desviar el tren hacia otro lugar pero en ese otro lugar hay una sola persona.
The entire channel is truly full of interesting videos that encourage reflection, including his film analyses. Since the fiction is inspired by reality, each character represents a story that anyone in the audience could be experiencing, making Farid's advice genuinely practical and useful. Obviously, watching his content isn't a therapeutic process, but I do believe it can be very helpful to anyone who needs it. Well, that's all for today. Until next time.
De verdad que todo el canal está llenísimo de videos muy interesantes que nos invitan a la reflexión, incluso sus análisis de películas, ya que la ficción está inspirada en la realidad, cada personaje representa una historia que cualquier persona dentro de la audiencia podría estar viviendo, así que los consejos de Farid resultan de verdad muy prácticos y útiles. Obviamente que ver su contenido no equivale a un proceso terapéutico pero si creo que puede llegar a ayudar mucho a cualquiera que lo necesite. Y bueno sin más que agregar por hoy me despido hasta una próxima oportunidad.

What an interesting channel, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it. It’s also a great way to analyse films from a psychological perspective, looking at both the film as a whole and the characters in specific situations. And the fact that the channel’s creator invites colleagues to discuss a topic is a real bonus.
Through questions like that, where you have to choose between one or five people, it can reveal hidden traits in someone’s personality, because there’s so much to consider. For all these reasons, there’s a lot to learn from this channel and its content, because, as you mentioned, it encourages reflection. Cinema is a true art form and interpreting it is brilliant. Me alegra que te haya gustado el canal, la verdad es que lo encontré muy interesante porque ciertamente no hay muchos canales de ese estilo, nos invitan a analizar las películas y personajes de una manera más profunda, entendiendo que de verdad la psique humana es muy compleja y toda conducta tiene un origen.
Tienes razón, esas preguntas sirven para analizar y descubrir ciertos rasgos de la personalidad que no se ven a simple vista o que una persona normalmente no se atreve a decir. Este canal se convirtió en uno de mis favoritos.
