Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban [ESP/ENG]

Continuing with the Harry Potter saga, today we look at the third installment: *Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban*. This book introduces new characters and adventures; the new characters appear right from the start—at the Dursleys' home—with the arrival of Aunt Marge, a woman as hateful and unpleasant as her brother Vernon. Although she was not Harry's biological aunt, the Dursleys forced him to call her "Aunt." She constantly made nasty remarks, not only about Harry but also about his deceased parents; eventually, Harry reached his limit and, unintentionally, caused her to inflate and float away into the air. Another character was also lurking about—the very person who gives the book its title, the Prisoner of Azkaban: Sirius Black. Harry's godfather, Sirius had been unjustly imprisoned in the wizarding jail for twelve years, accused of being a follower of Voldemort and of "murdering" his friend Peter Pettigrew and a number of Muggles. Sirius does his utmost to find Harry, but his attempts to get close are perceived by everyone as a threat.
Continuando con la saga Harry Potter, hoy vamos con el tercero de la saga, Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azkaban, en este libro encontramos nuevos personajes y hazañas, los nuevos personajes se empiezan a percibir desde el inicio, desde la casa de los Dursley, ya que a la casa llega de visita la ti Marge, una mujer tan odiosa y desagradable como su hermano Vernon, ella obviamente no era tía sanguínea de Harry pero los Dursley lo obligaban a llamarla “tía”. Esta mujer siempre estaba haciendo comentarios desagradables, no solo sobre Harry, sino sobre sus padres fallecidos, así que un día él no pudo más y sin proponérselo hizo que la mujer se inflara y saliera flotando por el aire. Además de eso otro personaje andaba rondando por ahí y es precisamente quién le da nombre a este libro, El Prisionero de Azkaban, se trataba de Sirius Black, padrino de Harry, quién fue recluido injustamente en la prisión de magos y brujas por doce años por ser un supuesto seguidor de Voldemort y por haber “asesinado” a su amigo Petter Pettigrew y a un montón de muggles. Sirius hace todo lo posible por encontrar a Harry pero sus intentos de acercarse son interpretados por todos como una amenaza.
One of the new characters I liked best was Remus Lupin, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, as he took the time to help Harry—not only with invaluable advice but also through private lessons where Harry learned to cast one of the wizarding world's most complex spells: the Patronus Charm. This spell requires finding and holding onto a happy memory powerful enough to fill one with positive energy. Remus Lupin was one of the few people who saw potential in Harry and sought to hone his abilities.
Uno de los personajes nuevos que más me agradó fue Remus Lupin, el nuevo profesor de Defensa Contra las Artes Oscuras, ya que se tomó el tiempo necesario para ayudar a Harry, no solo con sus consejos muy valiosos, sino también con sus clases particulares en las cuales Harry aprendió a invocar uno de los encantamientos más complejos del mundo mágico, el encantamiento Patronus, el cuál debe invocarse luego de encontrar y mantener un recuerdo feliz lo suficientemente poderoso como para mantenerte lleno de venas energías. Remus Lupin fue de las pocas personas que vio potencial en Harry y buscó perfeccionar sus habilidades.
This is also one of the most mature books in the saga, in which we learn a bit more about the deaths of the Potters; in particular, one of the scenes that truly touched my heart was Lily Potter’s pleading with Voldemort not to kill her baby—the way she begged him to kill her instead of the child was deeply moving.
Este es además uno de los libros más maduros de la saga en el cuál conocemos un poco más acerca de la muerte de los Potter, particularmente una de las escenas que más me llegó al corazón fueron las súplicas de Lily Potter para que Voldemort no matara a su bebé, esa manera de pedirle que la matara a ella en lugar de al bebé fue muy conmovedora.
We also get to see a different side of Hagrid—this time as a teacher. Although he isn't exactly very good at it—since he constantly puts students in danger by placing too much trust in his creatures—we at least see him making a superhuman effort to give his best. Furthermore, I have always admired his sense of loyalty and gratitude toward Dumbledore (the only person who saw him as a human being rather than a half-giant).
También tenemos la oportunidad de ver a Hagrid en otra faceta, en este caso como profesor, y aunque no es precisamente muy bueno, ya que siempre pone en peligro a los estudiantes por confiar demasiado en sus criaturas, al menos vemos que hace un esfuerzo sobrehumano por dar lo mejor de si, además siempre me ha gustado su sentido de lealtad y agradecimiento hacia Dumbledore (el único que lo vio como un ser humano y no como un semigigante)
The final scenes are very dramatic, though frustrating for Severus Snape, who was left wanting to see Sirius Black locked up again or subjected to the Dementor's Kiss; honestly, I can understand Snape's desire to some extent, given that Sirius Black used to torment him during their school days. However, it is unfair that Remus had to pay the price for that—since, once Snape revealed that Remus was a werewolf, Remus obviously had to leave his teaching post—so, in this regard, Snape's behavior was excessive, childish, and unfair.
Las últimas escenas resultan muy emocionantes, aunque frustrantes para Severus Snape que se quedó con las ganas de ver a Sirius Black encerrado nuevamente o siendo besado por los dementores, y honestamente puedo entender hasta cierto punto el deseo de Snape, ya que Sirius Black solía atormentarlo en su época de estudiantes, sin embargo es injusto que Remus haya tenido que pagar por eso, pues cuando Snape dio a conocer la noticia de que Remus era un hombre lobo, obviamente él tuvo que abandonar su puesto como profesor, así que en este sentido la actitud de Snape fue exagerada, infantil e injusta.
And last but not least, I would like to mention how fascinated I am by the author's brilliant mind; she created a vast, richly nuanced universe. This book, in particular, introduces new creatures like the "Dementors"—dark beings that devour happiness and even the soul—which, from what I’ve read, are actually a metaphor for depression (a very ingenious and apt one). There are also new magical artifacts, such as the Time-Turner, which proved very useful in helping Hermione manage her demanding schedule and gave a second chance to those facing execution (Buckbeak and Sirius Black).
y por último pero no menos importante me gustaría mencionar lo fascinado que estoy con el hecho de lo privilegiada que es la mente de la autora, ella creó un universo muy basto, lleno de matices, este libro particularmente tiene nuevas criaturas como los “dementores” seres oscuros que devoran la felicidad y hasta el alma, y según lo que leí por ahí, son en realidad una metáfora de la depresión (muy ingenioso y acertado) también hay nuevos artefactos mágicos como el Giratiempo, el cuál fue muy útil para que Hermione pudiera cumplir con su exigente horario, y también para darle una segunda oportunidad a los condenados (Buckbeak y Sirius Black)

Amo este libro aunque debo confesar que es el único libro del cual prefiero su adaptación cinematográfica jaja pero igual me encanta
