Nekogitablog [Channel Review] ESP/ENG

Today I'd like to review a YouTube channel I've been watching for about a year now. I started watching it on the recommendation of my daughters, who have been viewers for several years. It's called Nekogitablog, and it shows the life of a mixed-race couple—a young Spaniard and a young Japanese woman—and they both share their perspectives on each other's countries, recounting their experiences and culture shocks. Yuko (the woman) lived in Spain many years ago (it was there that she learned the language and met her current husband), so she tells us about her culture shock in that country and even how it made her feel to have been a victim of xenophobia. Ernesto (her husband) also shares his experiences as a student in Japan and how he gradually adapted to Japanese life, how he learned the language, and so on.
Hoy me gustaría reseñar para ustedes un canal de youtube que he estado viendo desde hace más o menos un año, y comencé a verlo por recomendación de mis hijas, que ya llevan varios años en la audiencia de este canal. Se trata de Nekogitablog, un canal que nos muestra la vida de un matrimonio mixto, es decir, un joven español con una joven japonesa, y ambos exponen sus puntos de vista acerca del país del otros, nos cuentan sus experiencias y choques culturales. Yuko (la muchacha) estuvo viviendo en España hace muchos años (fue allá donde ella aprendió el idioma y conoció a su actual esposo) así que nos cuenta como fueron sus choques culturales en ese país y hasta como la hizo sentir el haber sido victima de xenofobia. En el caso de Ernesto (su esposo) también nos cuenta sus experiencias vividas como estudiante en Japón, y como poco a poco se fue adaptando a la vida nipona, como aprendió el idioma y todo eso.
They run two sections with very unique and original names: "Japan Uncut," where they analyze and share aspects of daily, social, and cultural life in Japan in general (where certain customs come from, how they are in the workplace, what they usually do on certain dates, and things like that), and "Japan with Ham," in which the couple tells us about their own experiences living in Japan (experiences as a mixed-race couple, culture shock, experiences as parents, etc.). I like it a lot because it's a good way to learn about other cultures, and they do it from a sincere and objective point of view, even saying which aspects they agree or disagree with, or what might be shocking to a foreigner.
Ellos manejan dos secciones con nombres muy particulares y originales: "Japón sin cortes" donde analizan y comparten aspectos de la vida cotidiana, social y cultural de Japón en general (de dónde proviene tal costumbre, como son en el ámbito laboral, que acostumbran a hacer en determinadas fechas, y cosas de ese estilo) y "Japón con Jamón" en la cuál la pareja nos cuenta sus experiencias propias viviendo en Japón (Experiencias como pareja mixta, choques culturales, experiencias como padres, en fin) me gusta mucho porque es una buena manera de aprender acerca de otras culturas, además ellos lo hacen desde un punto e vista sincero y objetivo, diciendo incluso con que aspectos están o no de acuerdo o que podría resultar choqueante para un extranjero.
I think this is the video I enjoyed the most. In it, the couple takes on the hilarious challenge of speaking only Japanese for 24 hours (keeping in mind that it's not his native language). The thing is, even though she's Japanese, she sometimes slips up with a Spanish word (because she speaks it every day). So when one of them loses, they have to do a forfeit.
Creo que el video con el que más me divertí es este. Ya que en él la pareja se enfrenta al divertido reto de pasar 24 horas hablando solo japonés (tomando en cuenta que no es el idioma nativo de él) pero el caso es que a pesar de que ella es japonesa, a veces se le escapaba alguna palabra en español (por la costumbre de hablarlo a diario) entonces cuando alguno de los dos perdía tenía que enfrentar una penitencia.
One of the videos I've enjoyed the most is where Yuko narrates her experience with pregnancy in Japan (since every country has its own style). There are several videos about this on their channel, but I don't remember if it was in this one that she mentioned that in Japan the government gives pregnant women a sticker identifying them as such, as a safety measure, because when someone sees them they have to be more careful around them (on the street or on public transport). Now that the baby has been born and is actually a nine-year-old boy, the couple tells us about their experiences as parents, the challenges they face, and how wonderful it is to live in such a culturally rich environment. The boy even speaks two languages (Spanish and Japanese).
Uno de los videos que más he disfrutad es donde Yuko narra su experiencia con el embarazo en Japón (ya que cada pais tiene su estilo) Hay varios videos sobre esto que tienen ellos en el canal, pero no recuerdo si fue en este, que ella dijo que en Japón el gobierno le da a las mujeres embarazadas una calcomanía que las identifica como tal, esto a medida de seguridad, porque cuando alguien las ve debe tener más cuidado con ellas (en la calle o el transporte público) Hoy en día que el bebé ya nació y de hecho ya es un niño de nueve años, la pareja nos cuenta sus experiencias como padres, los retos a los que se enfrentan y lo maravilloso que es vivir en un ambiente tan rico culturalmente, el niño de hecho maneja dos idiomas (español y japonés)
It's a channel that's both educational and fun, so I sincerely recommend it.
Es un canal tanto educativo como divertido, así que lo recomiendo sinceramente.

Lo que más me sorprendió es lo bien que habla japonés el chico, es impresionante!!! Pasar 24 horas hablando ese idioma no debe ser fácil, pero ella lo ha ayudado bastante aunque tuvo fallos jajaja
Ahora la experiencia del bebé también es interesante, porque uno conoce otras culturas. Muchas veces hay choques entre países que hablan el mismo idioma, me imagino que mucho más con países y culturas tan contrapuestas. Que valientes han sido. Gracias por traer este genial canal!!🤗
