Chemical meditation. - my film developing process in images and some results. (series of images)
I know that some of you missed this storytelling from my film developing process. I posted already a few times, and always enjoyed both - the film roll developing process and taking behind-the-scenes photographs of the entire process.
The process by itself is very simple and not too romantic as many do think about and imagine it to themself. I'm sure that the darkroom printing on paper is much sexier and much more interesting, but, the whole process is happening in the darkroom with the only red light available (don't confuse with the Amsterdam red-light district).
This time I developed Rollei RPX 400 medium format film, which I exposed with Fuji GA645 camera partially in the burned forest and partially at the urban streets. I love when my 12-16 frames rolls are mixed with the photographs from different locations.
As usual, I used my favorite Kodak d-76 developer diluted 1:1 with the water.
The process took place in my kitchen during the last weekend - the best time for me to enjoy the process without any haste with the full dedication to the lovely process of the chemical meditation. (remember Breaking Bad and Mister White with Jessy in their bus in the middle of the desert?)
Here are some of the results I got. Right now photographed them before the drying process. Will post the real scanned results in my next post.
And the beasty Fuji GA645.

Such a nice work it is, bringing images to light. Personally I really do love being in complete darkness. What I still struggle with is getting the films into the spirals ;)
btw., I'm sure you could set up a basic b/w printing lab for less than 200$ in any kitchen, bathroom, toilet...
in my plans. right now the free time is the biggest problem
thank you for taking a look

Thank you,@victorbz for share with us the film processing stages! Since I work with x rays, many years ago, the x ray processing method was also chemical one, with developer and fixer! You are a true artist! Congratulations
thank you for taking a look.

Haha, some of the best things happen in the dark.
I still think it's really cool that you're developing your own film. Very neat.
thank you Victor
