Old Jaffa bad weather day. (for the FILM photography community).

I reviewed today one of the old rolls of the Fujifilm c-41 colorfilm, which I exposed a few years ago and developed with the black and white chemicals. Yes this is possible, just the developing process is kinda capricious in terms of technique, but it's very easy, when you know exactly what you're doing and get used to this process. As usual, I develop color c-41 film using the semi-stand technique. It takes one hour of developing but I don't worry about the speed of the film.

Additionally, I have some questions about the "new" (for me) Hive Engine "PHOTO" Token, which I just started seeing on the Hive Engine Tokens page of @peakd.app . I see it appearing mostly as "Curation reward" and a few times as "Author reward" but rewarded for my comments. Maybe someone knows what they are.

Very nice results. I like the camera.

May I ask how you developed the film?

thank you, my friend.
i developed it in Rodinal 1:100 for one hour with only one agitation in the middle of this hour.
so there is no attention to the film speed - one hour for every ISO - 100, 200, 400 or 800 :-)

Good old Rodinal 🙂 It’s a nice developer. And it’s funny just how old the recipe is.

C41 is pretty doable in home conditions. E6 is a challenge but still not impossible.

Likewise. I prefer the feeling of BW. Velvia is an exception, though it’s so expensive that I’ve only used 4 rolls in the past 2 years.

i'm searching and buying an expired Velvia and Provia, my favorite color films.
but sure prefer to stay the only BW
here are my "filmisnotdead" tag posts to the personal blog site by timeline - you can't find color too fast :-))) http://www.victorbezrukov.com/tag/filmisnotdead/

Oh, I love the ocean pictures. Black and white is awesome at bringing out the texture of the composition, and it really makes the waves striking.

thank you Victor
agree about black and white pictures of the sea, same as desert or mountains - BW make them very texturally picturesque for those who understand and see
