POBphotocontest - INFRASTRUCTURE - the URBEX (series of photographs).

avatar

I'm a small man in a huge city. I hate the URBEX where I'm spending my no one needs life. The worthless life of the invisible clerk of the huge infrastructure which I am an integral part of. This URBEX is the AIR that I breathe from the early morning until the late evening. The SMELL that I endlessly sniff with my nose. The mixed TASTE of the tasty and less tasty fast food products, which are abundant in the numerous street stores and restaurants. The tactile SURFACE, which is partially flat and smooth, but partially rough, and gritty. The piercing SOUND, which leads to the desire to wear sealed headphones and not to listen to them. The unstoppable MOVEMENT, which is flooding without pause stop in the country and stay stoned forever.
I'm a small man in a huge city. I'm just a clerk. The one who doesn't have a proper voting voice, only the weak and trembling voice, which is looking for others - thousands of voters who don't even read the name on the letterhead.

First thanks much for your generous tip on the other site.

Second, I have spend many years in both the city and the country. I much prefer the country. The city is always fast paced, loud and gritty. Country life is much more peaceful and slower which seems to suit me best as I am getting older. Funny fact is while I worked in the city, I choose to live in the country. That required a hour and a half drive each way! Three hours a day in the car! But it kept me sane!

I'm living in the countryside 30 km from my working place in the center of TelAviv, i also have more than one hour of drive to every side. but it is worth it for sure.
this post is full of sarcasm, no more :-)
about the tip - my pleasure.
actually, I think it was the last time I tipped there.
people stopped using this function... almost stopped

It is worth it. I did the commute for just over a decade. Now thankfully I am able to work at home. I hope at some point you can lessen the drive.

I am not as active on the other site as I do not see how they are going to make a go of it long term. As I understand it a single individual finances it to about 4000/day. Not sure how long that will go on for. Hive and before Steemit has been my home and where I see lasting opportunity.

I enjoy your work. I can appreciate your eye for a nice mono as well as your minimalist shots. Keep up the good work and many thanks again.

you're right - 4000/day from one person is a very risky business
let's see.
thank you for the kind words :-)

Oh, but, you are a man with a dream, Victor. It is the perfect verbage when talking about the city. Come to the softer side of life, far and away from the city.

You spend so much time commuting back and forth... some day, life will be much simpler, but for now - the job is boss. Have a wonderful day!

yes Denise. I'm fighting here every single day and just waiting for the red line to cross it and to finish this fight as a winner and to leave this job.
and then what?
this is what I have to get - what I will do after this.
right now the situation around is absolutely bad in all aspects of life.
Have a great day Denise :-)

You are not ready to leave. I think when you are, you will know exactly what comes next. The situation is bad everywhere, so it has to get better at some point.

You have a great day, Victor. It is Thanksgiving tomorrow(really today, it is almost 2 am) and we will all pray and be grateful for another year. :) Kidding.

It is Thanksgiving. I hope your day goes wonderfully.
