#TBT: almost 5 years ago... || Mom Life

I was doing some curation on the community and saw a post for a TBT and I thought OOOH! What a cool idea! and I have a pretty special TBT to do today, My kid's bday is 4 days away and that will have its own post, but I couldn't pass on the opportunity to share these pictures with all of you.

I have to say I had not only an awesome Nurse (who helped me fight the doctor for my right to choose over my body, I have a whole post about this you can read here) but she acted as a photographer as well, and as you can see SHE ROCKED!!!

Dad inside the OR?

So, I have always known my boyfriend didn't liked to see blood, but I always wanted him inside the room whether it was a vaginal delivery or a c-section, I talked to him and he wasn't too happy about it, but, like you can say no to a pregnant woman, especially if she is carrying your own child. But, then one day I was cooking and chopping some vegetables when cut my finger, it was a scene from a movie, there was so much blood, nope I did not cut it all completely but it was deep and I'm not kidding when I say there was a LOT of blood, to be honest I have never been like afraid of blood I actually wanted to get into Medical School way back when... But I was pregnant and I got scared so I yelled for help and my boyfriend came running, the face that man had when he saw me all bloody, he when White even tho I was the one losing blood (not enough to get white to be honest).

He helped me clean the wound and dress it with pressure so that it would stop bleeding and cleaned all the blood, this proved to me in case of an emergency he would be able to step it up and help, but also I saw the face that man had the whole tie, and made me realize I didn't want him to have a bad time while on the delivery room with me, He would probably pass out and I didn't want to worry about him passing out while I was delivering our kid.

Then the day came and it turns out that if you deliver in the Red Cross the anesthesiologist does not allow Dads to be inside the OR, lol, but I wanted to have pictures and memories of the moment of birth, that is when we asked the nurse if she could help us with that and like I said she ROCKED IT!

I have to say the light HELPED a lot and taking into consideration these pictures were taken with my mom's old Samsung J2 Phone, so, not the best camera out there but they are the best pictures I could have hoped for, and they will be forever my favorite pictures of my kid!
