Hello friends of Hive. I hope that life gives you all that you deserve and for what you are fighting day by day. With a lot of hope but also with action projects are achieved.

This life is surrounded by very complex situations and decisions. Among them the issue of Euthanasia, is an issue where no one has the absolute truth, we can only respond according to our values and ethical principles but not from an absolute truth.

Our dear friend @tibaire has presented us the topic of Euthanasia through the following question:

My opinion and answer to this question.

I have managed to live death very closely by being a doctor by profession, I have been next to it and I have fought against it, as enemies for a lifetime. I have been able to win many battles against death but I have also been able to lose. It is those lives that have been lost that I always remember.

More than the fear of death, what is truly worrisome is the pain, because in reality death is the end of pain. Perhaps the initial pain for the family and friends of that loved one but in reality the pain ceases with death. However, how can we accept death? How can we accept the method of Euthanasia as a possible solution to the agony of pain?

Undoubtedly it is a very personal, objective and intrinsic decision of each person, it is a decision that should never be forced. I can say that Euthanasia effectively only hastens death and therefore pain is summed up in death. One of the decisions for which I started in this wonderful career of medicine is to improve the quality of life of people and for the love I feel for health.

***Pain and suffering is the greatest of evils, so, from the bottom of my heart I feel that Euthanasia should be practiced only under conditions of intense pain, agony under a sufficiently evaluated final stage. I do not feel that it is a free way to die or a decision that dignifies the patient, but a way to reduce the time of that agony, it should always go hand in hand with certain legal and specific parameters on the condition of the person who wants to apply this method.

Working in the field of medicine has it's rewards and challenges.
The cloudy issues regarding Euthanasia often surround patients that suffer no terminally physiological problems but that of emotional and or psychological ones.
Otherwise, I'm in much agreement.
