Eat Healthy, Eat Right! Gluttony is a Sin😱

How often do you overeat? Are You Gluttonous? Do you like good food or you are just feeding the stomach?

If Yes! Then you are a Sinner. Because Gluttony is a Sin. Well, originally Gluttony acquires a place among the seven sins because it is considered that eating more than required might deprave some needy of the Food. Well Gluttony is more of a sin than just simple food wastage, it is a sin we commit against our own body itself.

Eating More doesn't mean Having good effects in the body or nor does eating more makes you much stronger. But it sure does increases your weight. How often we come across 'Quality over Quantity' phrase and honestly it's actually true in everything in life. What we Eat matters more than how much we eat. So if you ask me, definitely eating more than required is a Sin and it will have bad effect on your health.

Eating a Balanced Diet and doing regular exercises is the key to good health. Gluttony occasionally clouds our senses and sharpens the taste buds, forcing us into overeating and usually junk eating, the food which tastes delicious but not much good for health. Hardly we heard of gluttony in Keto diet, or weight loss diet. Are we Gluttonous when it comes to green vegetables, pulses, beans etc. But we can't escape the delicious sugar items, pizzas, burgers, our favourite street foods etc.

Gluttony is a deep seated habit in many of us as we don't have any clue how much to eatπŸ™„, we end up eating everything came in front of us. For such people I strongly advise to change the dishes in which you eat. Adapt to eating in smaller dishes, it might sound so ordinary or silly but trust me it works wonders. It will slowly change your eating habits for good.

We all know that drinking water is important. Try to drink at least more than 5 litres of water everyday, oh wait? πŸ€” Would that be Gluttony too, lol. Ha ha don't worry unless you save water in others things, drinking water is ok. πŸ’¦πŸ˜Š In order to control your cravings, try having a glass of water just before eating, it will have a little impact on your appetite but definitely worth the effort. So always have water before your meals.

Now comes the choice of meals. Balance diet plays a vital role in daily health. You can't just eat everything and as much you want. We all need daily calories according to our height and weight, so calculate the amount of calories you need to maintain your desired body weight. There are fitness apps available for this purpose. Where you can find food according to calories and create your own diet plan. Now you must be thinking, what the hell, who will do all this and why so much effort. Well guys, it's ok till a certain age only, one your body gave up, you will see negative effects of Gluttony in your everyday lives.

So it better to act now and always ear healthy and eat right. While it's OK to have your favourite dishes once a week, you can call it a cheat day but make sure you so ample amount of physical exercise the next day. Instead of having heavy meals at a single time try having lighter meals at regular intervals of time. It's your own body and you need to keep a check on what you put inside it.

Eating healthy is also a great way to help the environment. I agree we should definitely try to change our diets, especially the unhealthy ones who only provide pleasure for our taste buds.

On top of that, eating junk food greatly affects your microbiome. The bacteria in your gut lives off the food you consume, so by making the wrong nutrition choices, you're not only causing the good bateria to die off, but also contribute to the growth of the bad agents.

Out gut talks straight to our brains, and even to our other organs. That's why it's called our second brain (some scientists claim that soon it'll become to be known as our first brain!) We all should be eating for the gut :)
