I have no idea about Project Veritas, though I have a good impression about them upon reading their website after reading your post.
While privacy and free speech go hand-in-hand, I do not know how to support journalists and whistleblowers. I don't know how I can support them (or any similar organization) without compromising my anonymity and privacy.
Just spread awareness, get more eyeballs on them and wait until they accept anonymous crypto donations. Additionally you could try getting them on HIVE.
