It looks like a toasted bread but is this roti bakar really toasted and crispy? because I recently ate the toasted bread in Gardenia but it was crispy and all. I think is a little bit crispy with flavory taste, I see butter like color of the bread, is that butter?

yes, that was butter. Basically it was a toasted sandwich and it had to be crispy as you expected
