Lots of people wants to learn if there is life in space. They want to know if it is livable so that they may consider to migrate on it because of the Earth's population now that is slowly increasing and also the state of the Earth that is slowly deteriorating because of pollution, mining, etc.

The first season of the series takes place in space who wants to go to Earth that they want to lived more than the ARK's lifespan that years have passed, the Earth is not livable because of the nuclear missiles that have been fired around the world that caused the Earth not livable anymore or so they thought.

Story

Almost a hundred of years have passed, their ARK spaceship is slowly losing it's power, their air to breath, food to eat, and it is on the verge of being destroyed. The only thing that they will survive is to go into the Earth. They have an idea about going to the Earth but its a risky idea for themselves because they didn't know who will go to the Earth. So, they made an agreement to make the prisoners because prisoners are dead to them and it might weight them down if they stay prisoners and these prisoners landed on Earth. It's a win-win situation for the ARK not only because they pick prisoners to go down but also to lengthen their lifespan in the ARK.

If someone will make bad things inside the ARK spaceship, it's either you can go to prison or make an instant death by floating oneself. Most people in the Ark would usually say "GO FLOAT YOURSELF", means that they don't like you.

Consisting of 100 prisoners, including Clarke Griffin, embark to go to Earth and see if they can live there. These prisoners are space people and they thought that they are the only people that are alive all over Earth but they were wrong because there are people in the Earth that survived from the great calamity that brought in the Earth.

Clarke is one of the cleverest protagonist and she will become their leader of these prisoners. She become a strategist, and a manipulator in this series. She is also the key so that they will survive to all of the happenings in each season.

The prisoners make their own shelter from the spaceship that they used. They had lots of disagreements between them because of their ranking from the ARK but little did they know, there are people from the Earth watch them.

Will they find peace if they encounter other people aside from them? Or they will have another fight between each other?

Opinion

The story was great because of the story that they desperately want to live and struggles along the way. There are 7 seasons that you can watch and each season has different plot and different story. On the first season it's all about ARK and the Earth, this is one of the best season that I had out of the 7 season because they don't know what lies beyond Earth.

These people from the ARK wants to live in the Earth because they won't survive living in the ARK anymore. They also went with other planets in each season just to find for themselves a good place to live but in the end they return to the Earth where they were happy being on Earth. When they encounter other tribes (people) it is like they brought a bad omen to that people and may led them being wiped out from them.

Conclusion

I recommend you to watch this series if you love science fiction because the first season is the best and one of the greatest season that I've watched. I already watched all of the 7 seasons and I think it is getting more boring but sometimes you can get excited.

At the end of the series, it feels surreal to me because they come back to the Earth again and the environment is now good, there were only a few traces of nuclear destruction and there are lots of tall trees that grow in the forest.

I also like their tagline when they were at the ARK when they say "GO FLOAT YOURSELF". You can watch this if you like science fiction, adventure, or drama.
