Hola comunidad encantado de estar nuevamente con ustedes espero se encuentren bien , deseo que tengan un excelente día cargado de mucha paz, salud y prosperidad del alma.
En esta ocasión me uno a la iniciativa sobre Autismo y deseo compartirles la experiencia que vivimos en mi núcleo familiar. Un sobrino fue diagnosticado con autismo cuando recibimos la noticia mi familia y yo nos abocamos a ayudar a mi hermana y brindarle todo el apoyo que ella requería para enfrentar esta situación que al momento era algo desconocido y tan complejo que no fue nada fácil al principio. Fue algo novedoso ya que desconocíamos totalmente toda la información que había sobre el autismo.

On this occasion I join the initiative on Autism and I want to share with you the experience we live in my family. A nephew was diagnosed with autism when we received the news, my family and I dedicated ourselves to help my sister and give her all the support she needed to face this situation that at the time was something unknown and so complex that it was not easy at the beginning. It was something new since we were totally unaware of all the information there was about autism.

Poco a poco consultando profesionales , visitando diferentes médicos le sugirieron a mi hermana llevar a mi sobrino a realizar terapia de lenguaje , terapia para controlar la ansiedad , terapia ocupacional, entre otras actividades que que involucraban la parte motora , sobre todo tenía que trabajar la motricidad fina ya que le costaba agarrar un lápiz , recortar con una tijera , entre otras cosas. Para mi hermana y mi cuñado fue un momento muy duro y el proceso de asimilación fue aún más difícil ya que era su primer hijo pero la familia siempre estuvo allí para apoyarla , sus tíos , todos nos abocamos a apoyarla a ella y a mi sobrino.
Little by little consulting professionals, visiting different doctors, they suggested to my sister to take my nephew to speech therapy, therapy to control anxiety, occupational therapy, among other activities that involved the motor part, especially he had to work on fine motor skills since he had trouble holding a pencil, cutting with scissors, among other things. For my sister and my brother-in-law it was a very hard time and the process of assimilation was even more difficult since it was their first child, but the family was always there to support her, her uncles, we were all there to support her and my nephew.

Pasó mucho tiempo en terapia y hasta la fecha los avances han sido si pudiese decirse en forma moderada , en cuanto a su rendimiento estudiantil es un niño que le gusta mucho investigar , le fascina la historia y la tecnología, le fascina conversar mucho de la historia , revisar libro, clasificar los ´peces y otros animales del mar , es una de sus mayores pasiones y, obviamente los juegos en computadora o equipo electrónico como el sup y todo esos aparatos tecnológico que los niños tienen actualmente.
He spent a long time in therapy and to date the progress has been if I could say moderately, in terms of his student performance is a child who loves to investigate, he is fascinated by history and technology, he loves to talk a lot of history, review books, classify the 'fish and other sea animals, is one of his greatest passions and obviously computer games or electronic equipment such as sup and all those technological devices that children have today.

Hablar de autismo es una especie de sube y baja cuando el inició en las terapias notamos que de verdad estaba rindiendo al cien , ya empezó a bañarse sólo , hacer sus cosas sólo y de la noche a la mañana otra vez empezó desde cero. Mi hermana manifestaba que ella sentía que iba en un zig zag , que avanzaba y luego que avanzaba retrocedía nuevamente. En esos momentos era muy frustrante y doloroso para ella pero allí estábamos para apoyarla , ayudarla y también para ayudar a mi sobrino (que cariñosamente lo llamamos queco) a realizar las actividades y rutinas que le mandaban en la terapia.

Talking about autism is a kind of up and down when he started therapies, we noticed that he was really performing at his best, he started to bathe himself, do his own things and overnight he started again from scratch. My sister said that she felt that she was going in a zig zag, that she would go forward and then she would go back again. In those moments it was very frustrating and painful for her but we were there to support her, help her and also to help my nephew (we affectionately call him queco) to do the activities and routines that he was instructed to do in therapy.

Actualmente él está en quinto grado , hace sus exposiciones , interactúa con sus compañeros de clases, cosa que le fue un poco difícil lograr pero gracias a Dios ya ido mejorando en este aspecto. Establece relaciones con los niños , juega , interactúa y eso ha sido muy gratificante para mi hermana ver que en la parte de interacción , es decir, en la parte social él está más involucrado con los niños.
En cuanto a su comportamiento en casa es un niño muy tranquilo y apegado a las mascotas , de hecho es muy sensible , él tiene una perra llamada luci y, anterior a ésta tuvo otra que pereció , cada vez que él recuerda a su perra se pone triste y llora porque es demasiado sensible con los animales, él los cuida , es muy apegado con los animales , si fuese por él durmiera con ellos.

He is currently in fifth grade, he makes his exhibitions, interacts with his classmates, which was a little difficult to achieve but thank God he has been improving in this aspect. He establishes relationships with the children, plays, interacts and that has been very gratifying for my sister to see that in the interaction part, that is to say, in the social part he is more involved with the children.
As for his behavior at home he is a very calm and attached to pets, in fact he is very sensitive, he has a dog named luci and, before that he had another one that perished, every time he remembers his dog he gets sad and cries because he is too sensitive to animals, he takes care of them, he is very attached to animals, if it were up to him he would sleep with them.

Seguimos confiando que poco a poco él pueda seguir avanzando , además, siga cumpliendo con los objetivos que desean lograr por medio de las terapias como es , mejorar su lenguaje para lo cual está haciendo terapia de lenguaje , también mejorar la concentración , que esa adrenalina y energía que él tiene pueda canalizarla en otras actividades y poco a poco pueda irse amoldando. Entre sus logros uno de los más importante ha sido la interacción con los otros niños , e incluso en estos momentos hasta juega con ellos que eso era casi imposible ya que siempre estaba apartado del grupo, también las exposiciones las hace muy bien ya que desarrolla un tema (si es de lo que le gusta es fascinante) a la perfección y como familia estamos esperanzados de que él pueda lograr pronunciar bien las palabras y seguir sus actividades escolares
We continue trusting that little by little he will be able to continue advancing, in addition, he will continue fulfilling the objectives he wishes to achieve through the therapies, such as improving his language, for which he is doing speech therapy, also improving his concentration, so that the adrenaline and energy he has can be channeled into other activities and little by little he will be able to adapt. Among his achievements one of the most important has been the interaction with the other children, and even now he plays with them, which was almost impossible because he was always apart from the group, also the exhibitions he does very well because he develops a topic (if it is what he likes it is fascinating) to perfection and as a family we are hopeful that he can achieve his goals.

Lo que refieres de todo el proceso con él, desde el impacto al recibir el diagnóstico hasta la alegría de ver los avances en tu sobrino es muy valioso, porque dejas plasmado la importancia de la atención oportuna, continua, perseverante, además el apoyo familiar y el amor que hacen milagros. Esta condición es fuerte y por eso hay que llenarse de mucha paciencia, instruirse sobre el tema, terapias, en fin es un dar y recibir constante, porque tanto al niño como a la familia les toca aprender. Espero que todo vaya mejor para Queco y su familia, Es una gran bendición que la familia esté allí para apoyar.
