Continuando con mi recorrido por el paseo marítimo de Cumaná, comparto una caminata que me llevó desde el monumento "El Fraile y el Indio" hasta el Hotel Minerva, siguiendo la avenida perimetral. Tras detenerme en el monumento, me dirigí hacia la zona de embarcaciones: un pequeño muelle donde se encuentran amarrados los botes de los pescadores. A esa hora del día, varias personas nadaban cerca, mientras las embarcaciones reposaban a lo largo de la orilla o estaban varadas en tierra firme. Luego continué por el paseo de la playa, un lugar muy frecuentado para hacer ejercicio y pasear, caracterizado por su superficie de baldosas de terracota que se extiende a lo largo de un buen trecho.
Continuing my tour of Cumaná’s coastal promenade, I’m sharing a walk that took me from the "Monk and the Indian" monument to the Hotel Minerva via the perimeter avenue. After stopping at the monument, I headed toward the boat area—a small dock where fishermen’s boats are moored. At that time of day, several people were swimming nearby, with boats resting along the shoreline and some pulled up onto dry land. I then continued along the beach walkway—a popular spot for exercise and strolling—which features a terracotta-tiled surface stretching for quite a distance.

Next, I passed the National Guard station; from the area behind it, there is a beautiful view of the beach. I continued along the avenue, where I could see various buildings, a boat positioned in front of the station, and the Hotel Minerva—flanked by a residential building and several billboards advertising local businesses. Beyond the incredible beach views, the coastal promenade offers a look at a variety of structures—including residences, commercial establishments, and hotels—that cater to the tourists and visitors flocking to this city, known as the "Firstborn of the American Continent." In the boat area I mentioned earlier, one can see vessels that are actively in use alongside others serving as stations for unloading and distributing the catch.
Continuando el recorrido, apreciamos otra vista de la avenida costera, sus llamativos edificios, el atardecer, las embarcaciones que descansan en la orilla y el hermoso cielo azul. Tras explorar la zona de los barcos, caminé hacia la orilla del agua para observar más de cerca un gran barco —algo oxidado, tal vez debido al tiempo que ha permanecido allí— situado cerca de las embarcaciones de madera. Este lugar ofrece un hermoso paisaje marino, con nubes blancas y vistas de la avenida costera que se extiende a lo largo de la costa; es un sitio tranquilo para pasear, disfrutar de la brisa vespertina y hacer algo de ejercicio. Moving along, we get another view of the coastal avenue, its striking buildings, the sunset, the boats resting on the shore, and the beautiful blue sky. After exploring the boat area, I walked toward the water's edge to get a closer look at a large ship—somewhat rusted, perhaps from the time it has spent there—situated near the wooden boats. This area offers a beautiful seascape, with white clouds and a view of the coastal avenue stretching for kilometers along the shore—a peaceful place for a walk, enjoying the afternoon breeze and getting some exercise. When it comes to working out and recharging, the coastal promenade is an excellent choice, offering space for recreation and incredible views of the sea. Thanks for joining me on this adventure.
