Franja Costera de Cumaná desde las alturas [Esp-Eng]
Hoy comparto unas hermosas fotografías de la franja costera de Cumaná, tomadas desde el centro comercial Ciudad Traque, con la península de Araya visible al fondo. El litoral de Cumaná destaca por su bello paisaje, caracterizado por una extensa línea de costa y grandes edificaciones situadas en la zona. Desde la planta alta del centro comercial, se pueden disfrutar vistas impresionantes de esta parte de la ciudad —incluyendo árboles, casas y los edificios mencionados—, así como una vista espectacular de la península de Araya.
Se pueden apreciar calles y zonas residenciales; me sorprendió la abundancia de árboles en toda la ciudad, con diversos espacios verdes ubicados a lo largo de las distintas avenidas. No me había dado cuenta de que había tantos árboles distribuidos por los diversos sectores de la ciudad. Otra imagen muestra un edificio gris situado en la avenida Perimetral, junto a comercios, complejos residenciales y hoteles, destacando una vez más la presencia de vegetación. Se podría decir que la ciudad está rodeada de árboles, especialmente alrededor de la mayoría de los edificios y complejos residenciales. Today I am sharing some beautiful photographs of Cumaná’s coastal strip, taken from the Ciudad Traque shopping mall with the Araya Peninsula visible in the background. Cumaná’s waterfront stands out for its beautiful scenery, featuring a vast stretch of coastline and large buildings situated in the area. From the upper level of the mall, one can enjoy impressive views of this part of the city—including trees, houses, and the aforementioned buildings—as well as a stunning view of the Araya Peninsula.
You can see streets and residential areas; I was surprised by the abundance of trees throughout the city, with various green spaces located along the different avenues. I hadn't realized there were so many trees distributed across the city's various sectors. Another view shows a gray building located on the Perimetral Avenue, along with businesses, residential complexes, and hotels—once again highlighting the presence of vegetation. You could say the city is surrounded by trees, particularly around most of the buildings and residential complexes. At this time of day, the sky was a beautiful blue with scattered clouds, and the sunlight shimmered and reflected off the sea; the water’s characteristic blue hue blended with the sky, making them appear to merge. From this vantage point, one can also spot other residential areas in different parts of the city that are visible from above. Viewing the city from a height allows you to appreciate details that are often overlooked when traveling along the avenues or roads; the perspective from above is different—and complete.
Tras tomar varias fotografías de la zona del Monumento, me desplacé a otro punto y centré mi atención en las residencias cercanas al establecimiento y en otros edificios del complejo, incluido uno de color rojo y gris. Cerca de allí se encuentran el Hotel Minerva y el monumento del "Monje y el Indio"; se puede llegar a esta zona por la avenida Fernández de Serpa, un trayecto breve que permite apreciar las diversas construcciones a lo largo de esta importante vía y la recién inaugurada plaza María Rodríguez.

Por último, se aprecia una vista en primer plano del cerro Pan de Azúcar, las torres del estadio Delfín Marval y un edificio de tonos beige y ladrillo. Desde la plataforma de observación de este establecimiento comercial se pueden contemplar diversos puntos de la ciudad; las vistas son realmente impresionantes y revelan detalles que pude apreciar por primera vez. Disfruté observando la ciudad desde este lugar y admirando los increíbles paisajes costeros del sector del Monumento.
After taking several photos of the Monument area, I moved to another spot and focused on the residences near the establishment and other buildings within the complex—including a red-and-gray one. Nearby, you’ll find the Hotel Minerva and the "Monk and Indian" monument; you can reach this area via Fernández de Serpa Avenue—a short route that lets you see the various structures along this important avenue and the newly inaugurated María Rodríguez Plaza.
There is also the legendary "Monk and Indian" sculpture, which represents the founding of Cumaná through the evangelization of the region's indigenous groups by Franciscan missionaries. Looking in another direction, we see Sugarloaf Hill (Cerro Pan de Azúcar)—which dominates much of the sector—standing out for its yellow color speckled with green patches of scattered vegetation. Next, we see several buildings within the complex—eight in total—each distinguished by its unique design and color; one can also glimpse part of the peninsula and the trees lining the various avenues. Finally, there is a close-up view of Sugarloaf Hill, the towers of the Delfín Marval Stadium, and a beige-and-brick building. From the observation deck of this commercial establishment, you can see various parts of the city; the views are truly impressive, revealing details I was able to appreciate for the first time. I enjoyed viewing the city from this area and taking in the incredible coastal landscapes of the Monument sector.
