Land of Cocoa: Our Lady of Pilar Church
Hello dear hivers delighted to be with you again to share with you on this occasion a visit to a church known as Our Lady of Pilar, which is located in a town in the state of Sucre, Venezuela, called the pillar, Benitez municipality.
This 'town is characterized by having a varied economy, is a cocoa and agricultural area, also many families depend on freshwater fish fishing.
As I have mentioned I was born in this town and since I was a child I have been surrounded by these beautiful natural landscapes, we also have architecture and designs with a colonial touch.
This church is the best known of the people of Benitez, many years ago all the people of the surrounding villages came to perform ceremonies such as: Marriages, baptisms of young children and even people already advanced in age, also celebrated masses or memorials for people who have departed this world (Q.E.P), also student ceremonies to promote a school year. As I was writing this final sentence, my graduation and high school ceremony came to my memory more than three decades ago.
I recently traveled to my hometown to visit my parents and took the opportunity with my nieces to visit this beautiful architecture and design that brings back fond memories of my childhood, because seeing this church makes me feel at home.
This visit was made during the Christmas season where there were many people with their families to spend some quality time, and also to contemplate this beautiful church. It is worth mentioning, we had a lot of fun.
Also at that same end it has a reinforced concrete structure where the bell tower is located to announce the time of the mass. When it rings it is a call to the parishioners to attend their respective services.
Have a blessed and prosperous day.

This is the first time I've seen a church with this peculiar geometry. Its striking roof truly stands out, attracting not only the parishioners but also other passersby. I wonder what the interior space would look like. Have you captured photos @virgilio07?
Hello friend @ I have had the opportunity to visit this church on several occasions, the interior has a great design, very nice, but this time I could not take pictures because it was closed. I hope in the future to be able to share photos of the interior of this church.
Fraternal greetings.
