Este museo es muy importante para la ciudad y sus habitantes ya que recoge información valiosa del prócer de la independencia "Antonio José de Sucre" quien nació en la ciudad de Cumaná y, de quien el estado Sucre toma su nombre para rendirle honor.
Este joven militar se destacó en muchas batallas tanto en Venezuela como fuera de ella , una de las más importante eso no quiere decir que las otras no lo sean fue la que se realizó en Ayacucho , Perú , el 9 de diciembre de 1824, en la cual obtiene el título de Gran Mariscal que era el más alto rango que se le otorgaba los soldados.
Blessings delighted to greet you wishing you are great, in this opportunity I want to share with you a family visit to the museum Antonio José de Sucre, in the city of Cumaná, Venezuela.
This museum is very important for the city and its inhabitants since it gathers valuable information of the independence hero "Antonio José de Sucre" who was born in the city of Cumaná and whose name the state of Sucre takes to honor him.
This young military man excelled in many battles both in Venezuela and outside of it, one of the most important that does not mean that the others are not was the one that took place in Ayacucho, Peru, on December 9, 1824, in which he obtained the title of Grand Marshal which was the highest rank that was granted to the soldiers.
Esta edificación cuenta con dos plantas , en la planta principal se encuentran esculturas de varios escultores y pintores del Estado, es de mencionar que dichas obras están elaboradas de rocas y arcilla, además, una galería donde se exhiben fotos de la ciudad denominada como la Cumaná de Ayer.
This building has two floors, in the main floor there are sculptures of several sculptors and painters of the State, it is of mentioning that these works are elaborated of rocks and clay, in addition, a gallery where photos of the city are exhibited denominated as the Cumaná of Yesterday.
En el salón del ala izquierda se encuentran retratos de las diferentes batallas que realizó este prócer , además cofre resguardo cuidadosamente en vitrinas con tierra de algunas de ésta batalla. Como por ejemplo se consigue tierra de la batalla de Ayacucho , la Batalla de junín y la batalla de Pichincha (Información suministrada por la guía del Museo).
One of the two halls, the one on the right is dedicated to the objects of the Great Marshal of Ayacucho "Antonio José de Sucre", you can see the weapons used at the time (musket), coins and banknotes minted with his image, letters and many portraits by different painters of the time. There you can also find personal belongings of his wife, which have a great historical value for the city and allow us to know a little of the life of this important Venezuelan hero.
In the hall of the left wing there are portraits of the different battles that this hero fought, in addition to a chest carefully guarded in showcases with soil of some of these battles. For example, there is soil from the Battle of Ayacucho, the Battle of Junín and the Battle of Pichincha (Information provided by the museum guide).
Las visitas se realizan con un guía quien va explicando, las imágenes, y objetos que están en exhibición, al llegar firmas en un libro y te asignan un guía para iniciar el recorrido, además de lo anteriormente descrito, en la planta baja el museo cuenta con un salón que lleva el nombre de la esposa de Antonio José de Sucre, Mariana Carcelen, en este espacio se realizan muy a menudo exposiciones de pintura y escultura de varios artistas de la región.
The visits are made with a guide who explains the images and objects that are on display, upon arrival you sign a book and you are assigned a guide to start the tour, in addition to the above described, on the first floor the museum has a room that bears the name of the wife of Antonio Jose de Sucre, Mariana Carcelen, in this space are held very often exhibitions of painting and sculpture by various artists of the region.
También posee una biblioteca donde se pueden apreciar diversos textos que frecen valiosa información de la vida de este y otros próceres venezolanos, en la caminería se encuentra un árbol único en su clase según lo explicado por la guía del museo, es el único ejemplar que existe en la ciudad, se cree que fue traído de España en la época colonial.
It also has a library where you can see various texts that provide valuable information on the life of this and other Venezuelan heroes, in the walkway is a unique tree of its kind as explained by the museum guide, is the only specimen that exists in the city, it is believed to have been brought from Spain in colonial times.
