Rayando el alba en Cumaná: Caminata frente a la Península de Araya [Esp-Eng]
Hoy les comparto un maravilloso paseo por la franja costera de la ciudad, conocida como la Avenida y Monumento del Cacique Maragüey. Esta zona se extiende a lo largo de varios kilómetros alrededor del perímetro de la ciudad y es famosa por sus hermosos paisajes. Mi paseo se centró en seguir el sendero junto a la playa, donde una franja de rocas permite caminar cómodamente mientras se disfruta de las impresionantes vistas. Se puede sentir la brisa marina cuando las olas rompen contra las rocas y admirar los hermosos paisajes marinos que ofrece esta parte de la ciudad.
A lo largo del sendero, observamos el paseo de rocas, una vista del centro comercial y la bahía que se extiende detrás. Today I'm sharing a wonderful walk along the city's coastal strip, known as the Cacique Maragüey Monument and Avenue. This area stretches for several kilometers around the city's perimeter and is renowned for its beautiful scenery. My walk focused on following the beachside path, where a strip of rocks allows for comfortable walking while enjoying the stunning views. You can feel the spray of water as the waves crash against the rocks and admire the beautiful seascapes this part of the city offers.
Along the path, we observed the rock walkway, a view of the shopping center, and the bay that extends behind it. There's also a curious bench made from a tree trunk, strategically placed to allow visitors to sit and observe the beautiful seascape. Seeing the tree's location, I took the opportunity to sit for a while, enjoying the scenery, the waves, and the beautiful morning sky over the city.

Next, I moved to another area of the beach where there is a strip of rocks that also allows you to walk, enjoy the breeze, and the beautiful scenery. Along this strip, various rocks, branches, and other elements are distributed, making up this curious landscape. Then there is a tree trunk surrounded by a path of rocks and a beautiful view of the sea. One of my favorite sights is the view of the sea with its beautiful blue color that seems to merge with the sky.
On the rocks, I could see some crabs hiding. It's curious how these animals move; although they seem slow, they actually move very quickly. In a moment of inattention, while I was focusing my camera on it, one disappeared from sight, and no matter how much I searched, I didn't see it again. In the morning and afternoon, you can see these curious animals moving across the rocks and hiding, as their color, similar to the rocks, serves as excellent camouflage. The view of the sea and the beautiful clouds is definitely one of my favorite landscapes. The sea seems endless, stretching all the way to outer space.
Mientras caminaba, observé varias rocas con formas llamativas; una de ellas, con varias rocas unidas formando una especie de media luna, y junto a ella, otras pequeñas rocas negras con vetas blancas y beige, así como rocas blancas que parecían ser de piedra caliza, contra las que rompían las olas. Más adelante, el camino se hizo más fácil al adentrarme en el sendero arenoso. Desde aquí, se puede contemplar la hermosa península de Araya, hogar de playas igualmente hermosas. También se tiene la oportunidad de visitar las ruinas del castillo de Araya, una estructura que data de la época colonial. A pesar del paso de los años, parte de su estructura permanece en pie. Este es uno de los lugares más visitados de este municipio, junto con sus hermosas playas, y el castillo en sí es conocido por sus aguas cristalinas.
Continuando por el sendero, regresé al camino rocoso y volví a tener una vista parcial de la península. A lo lejos, el cielo estaba nublado debido a la hora temprana. Más adelante, vi más rocas de diversos colores y algunos animales marinos escondidos entre ellas. As I walked, I noticed several rocks with striking shapes, one of them with several rocks joined together forming a kind of crescent moon, and next to it other small black rocks with white and beige lines, as well as white rocks that appeared to be limestone, with waves crashing against them. Further on, the walk became easier as I entered the sandy path. From here, you can see the beautiful Araya Peninsula, home to equally beautiful beaches. You also have the opportunity to visit the ruins of Araya Castle, a structure dating back to the colonial era. Despite the years that have passed, part of its structure remains. This is one of the most visited places in this municipality, along with its beautiful beaches, and the castle itself is known for its crystal-clear waters.
Continuing along the path, I returned to the rocky trail and again had a partial view of the peninsula. In the distance, it was cloudy due to the early hour. Further along the trail, I saw more rocks of varying colors and some marine animals hiding among them. Finally, I stopped in the rocky area where I saw one that caught my attention because of its elongated shape and reddish colors. It also had several light yellow-beige spots, and on the back, the spots were green and black. This rock had an unusual shape, and the ones next to it also displayed different colors; most were black, but there were also yellow, white, and grayish ones, among others. It was an exciting adventure walking along the beach in the morning and observing the beautiful Araya Peninsula in the distance, where the municipality of Cruz Salmerón Acosta is located.
