Para concluir mi recorrido por la ciudad de Puerto La Cruz y la carretera que la conecta con Cumaná, comparto una serie de fotos del tramo comprendido entre Guanta y Santa Fe. Me centré en captar vistas de la playa, la carretera y los hermosos paisajes que ofrece esta zona. Volver a visitar esta ciudad después de varios años fue una experiencia maravillosa; me permitió reencontrarme con lugares conocidos, explorar sitios nuevos y disfrutar del impresionante entorno a lo largo de la carretera.
To wrap up my tour of the city of Puerto La Cruz and the highway connecting it to Cumaná, I am sharing a series of photos from the stretch between Guanta and Santa Fe. I focused on views of the beach, the road, and the beautiful landscapes this area offers. Visiting this city again after several years was a wonderful adventure; it allowed me to revisit familiar spots, explore new places, and enjoy the stunning scenery along the highway.
El viaje de regreso tuvo lugar por la tarde; el cielo estaba despejado, con pocas nubes, y el clima era agradable: perfecto para hacer paradas y admirar las increíbles playas, las vistas de la montaña y el paisaje encantador que caracteriza este tramo de carretera. Aunque el trayecto suele durar menos de una hora, las frecuentes paradas duplicaron el tiempo de viaje; sin embargo, detenerse fue una excelente idea, ya que cada lugar ofrecía una perspectiva diferente de la montaña y de la espectacular playa situada junto a la carretera. Además de la abundante vegetación, la ruta cuenta con diversas barreras de protección, tanto en la mediana central como a lo largo del borde de la carretera que conduce a la playa.
Como ya he mencionado, la vegetación es frondosa y las vistas panorámicas de la playa son únicas. Cuando comencé el viaje por la mañana, había una bruma notable; ya por la tarde, el sol se estaba ocultando y comenzaban a formarse nubes grises y azules. Al avanzar por la carretera, donde predomina la vegetación, se podía ver la montaña, con un tenue resto de bruma a su alrededor, y nubes grises que anunciaban el final de la tarde. Uno de los paisajes que más disfruté fue la vista que combinaba la playa con una planta situada justo al borde de la carretera; la fotografía captura la playa, mientras la planta destaca como un monumento natural. En esta zona, la montaña se percibe imponente y extensa, enmarcada por la playa circundante.
The return trip took place in the afternoon; the sky was clear with few clouds, and the weather was pleasant—perfect for making stops to admire the incredible beaches, the mountain views, and the charming scenery that defines this stretch of road. Although the drive usually takes less than an hour, the frequent stops doubled our travel time; however, stopping was an excellent idea, as each location offered a different perspective of the mountain and the spectacular beach alongside the road. In addition to the abundant trees, the route features various protective barriers—both on the central median and along the roadside leading to the beach.
As I mentioned, the vegetation is lush, and the panoramic views of the beach are unique. When I started the journey in the morning, there was noticeable mist; by afternoon, the sun was setting, and gray and blue clouds were gathering. Moving further along the road—where vegetation dominates—one could see the mountain, a lingering wisp of mist around it, and gray clouds heralding the late afternoon. One of the landscapes I enjoyed most was the view combining the beach with a plant situated right by the roadside; the photograph captures the beach, while the plant stands out like a natural monument. In this area, the mountain appears expansive, framed by the surrounding beach.
Tras contemplar el paisaje de la playa, continuamos nuestro recorrido por la carretera nacional hacia Santa Fe. Por el camino, vimos bahías, barreras de protección amarillas y montañas que se alzaban justo al lado de la playa, todo ello bajo un cielo espectacular. Pasamos por más barreras viales y por la exuberante vegetación característica de la zona; la última fotografía captura la montaña, la playa y el entorno verde. Fue una aventura maravillosa recorrer este tramo de carretera y admirar los hermosos paisajes costeros, entre los que destaca el Parque Nacional Mochima, donde convergen las montañas, el mar y la vegetación exuberante. After taking in the beach scenery, we continued our journey along the national highway toward Santa Fe. Along the way, we saw bays, yellow protective roadside barriers, and views of mountains rising right beside the beach, all set against a spectacular sky. We passed more highway barriers and the lush vegetation that dominates the area; the final photo captures the mountain, the beach, and the surrounding greenery. It was a delightful adventure traveling this stretch of road and admiring the beautiful coastal landscapes—highlighted by Mochima National Park—where mountains, sea, and lush vegetation come together.
