Bitcoin / Crypto ATMs Installations Peaked Monthly in August 2021 and Overall In August 2022
Bitcoin and crypto ATMs have gone from being installed to being removed over the past year.
Crypto ATM Installations Growth
Bitcoin and crypto ATMs according to the source of coinatmradar show the trend going from installations to removals. This may be in part to regulation. May be in part to usage. Bitcoin peaked sometime ago and there may not be enough people buying and selling crypto in the bear market leading to removal of the atm machines.
We're still above the number of installations at bitcoin prices all time high however.
Levels reached up to as high as 2000 installations a month in the months of August, Septmember, October, and December of 2021. Then dropping off to the first month of a resulting removal of ATMs last September. Followed by a few months of positive installations until the beginning of this year when we see more removals of ATMs.
Crypto ATMs Number Net Changes
Would be interesting to see where the ATMs have gone up and down in numbers due to demand. This may go to show more reason to support your bitcoin and crypto ATMs for more readily available exchanging availability. However the cost is another factor that has led to less usage and subsequent net removal of ATMs as well.
