Cuando una película o serie tiene como carta de presentación que es un Remake, nos causa cierto terror, sobre todo si su versión original fue un éxito, como es el caso de "Los Blancos No Saben Saltar"
Hoy quiero darles mi opinión sobre esta película recién estrenada en la plataforma de Star Plus, precisamente esta semana me suscribí a esta plataforma para poder tener acceso a más material para publicar en nuestra comunidad de Movies & Tv Shows
Pero primero como siempre, los invito a ver el Tráiler Oficial a continuación:
When a movie or series has as its cover letter that it is a remake, it causes us some terror, especially if its original version was a success, as is the case of "White Men Can't Jump"
Today I want to give you my opinion about this movie recently released on the Star Plus platform, just this week I subscribed to this platform in order to have access to more material to publish in our community of Movies & Tv Shows

"Los Blancos No Saben Saltar" es un Remake (nueva versión) de la película del mismo nombre estrenada en el año 1.992 en aquella oportunidad protagonizó Wesley Snipes, a quien yo recuerdo por Blake Cazador de Vampiros, y Woody Harrelson, a quien yo recuerdo por Yondu de Los Guardianes de la Galaxia, pero realmente tiene un montón de películas muy buenas donde ha participado.
Este Remake se acaba de estrenar este mes y lo protagonizan Jack Harlow, quien es rapero y es su primer trabajo como actor y Sinqua Walls, quien ya tiene trayectoria como actor. Yo de verdad que no los conocía 😬 😬 pero ya comenzaré a seguirles porque me gustó mucho su trabajo.
Se le califica como una película Buddy Film, por ser una historia que se trata básicamente de la amistad de dos personas.
"White Men Can't Jump" is a Remake (new version) of the movie of the same name released in the year 1.992 in that opportunity starred Wesley Snipes, who I remember for Blake Vampire Hunter, and Woody Harrelson, who I remember for Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy, but he really has a lot of very good movies where he has participated.
This Remake was just released this month and it stars Jack Harlow, who is a rapper and it's his first job as an actor and Sinqua Walls, who already has a background as an actor. I really didn't know them 😬 😬 😬 but I will start following them already because I really liked their work.
It is qualified as a Buddy Film, for being a story that is basically about the friendship of two people.

Debo confesar que no he visto la película original de 1.992 y como les dije no conozco a los actuales protagonistas, me atreví a ver esta película porque la vi en Lanzamientos Reciente de la plataforma y porque me encantan las películas con temáticas deportivas.
La película dura 1 hora 32 minutos aproximadamente, y es de género Comedia. Este es el tipo de comedia que me gusta porque es cómica por sus diálogos principalmente, y los personajes no tienen comportamientos estúpidos para hacernos reír. Y aunque uno de ellos viste de forma muy particular, creo que todos conocemos a alguien que se viste así de loco, además que su personaje o los rasgos de la personalidad del personaje tienen mucha coherencia con lo random de su forma de vestir.
I must confess that I have not seen the original movie of 1992 and as I told you I do not know the current protagonists, I dared to see this movie because I saw it in Recent Releases of the platform and because I love movies with sports themes.
The movie lasts 1 hour 32 minutes approximately, and is of Comedy genre. This is the type of comedy I like because it's comedic because of its dialogue mainly, and the characters don't have stupid behaviors to make us laugh. And even though one of them dresses in a very particular way, I think we all know someone who dresses crazy like that, plus his character or the character's personality traits are very consistent with the randomness of the way he dresses.
Bueno, esta persona que viste de forma muy particular es Jeremy que era deportista estrella pero que debido a unas lesiones en sus rodillas, su carrera profesional se paralizó. Jeremy se cuida mucho, es vegano, vende jugos con propiedades medicinales, practica yoga y meditación. Vive en casa de sus padres, aunque estos no viven actualmente con él. Es muy bueno en el básquet y debido a sus problemas económicos gana dinero en competencias callejeras de básquet, donde tiene ventaja por su experiencia y porque sabe intimidar a sus oponentes.
El otro protagonista es Kamal, quien era jugador destacado cuando era más joven, pero debido a problemas de comportamiento no avanzó.
Estos dos personajes no se conocía, se hacen amigos posteriormente. Son muy diferentes en muchos aspectos, sin embargo tienen en común que son buenos en básquet y que desean superar su situación actual.
Well, this person who dresses in a very particular way is Jeremy who was a star athlete but due to some injuries in his knees, his professional career was paralyzed. Jeremy takes good care of himself, he is vegan, sells juices with medicinal properties, practices yoga and meditation. He lives at home with his parents, although they do not currently live with him. He is very good at basketball and due to his economic problems he wins money in street basketball competitions, where he has an advantage because of his experience and because he knows how to intimidate his opponents.
The other protagonist is Kamal, who was an outstanding player when he was younger, but due to behavioral problems did not advance.
These two characters did not know each other, they become friends later on. They are very different in many ways, however they have in common that they are good at basketball and want to overcome their current situation.

El humor de esta película me encantó, porque hay muchos chistes relacionado con el racismo, y me gusta porque nosotros los venezolanos vemos más estos temas así, en forma de chistes, no nos tomamos tan en serio ni nos ofendemos por decir negros. Entonces, creo que dentro de un cierto respeto no debemos ofendernos por palabras, que igual podemos devolver el chiste con una buena respuesta u otro chiste. Este tipo de humor me gustó mucho.
I loved the humor in this film, because there are many jokes related to racism, and I like it because we Venezuelans see these issues more like that, in the form of jokes, we don't take ourselves so seriously or get offended by saying blacks. So, I think that within a certain respect we should not be offended by words, that we can still return the joke with a good answer or another joke. I liked this kind of humor a lot.
La historia de la película es de superación personal, ya que como mencioné tanto Jeremy como Kamal tienen un gran talento, pero por diferentes razones no lograron triunfar. El mensaje de la película nos mostrará que hay más de una forma de triunfar, si nos mantenemos enfocados.
Me parece una gran historia, muy normal, muy factible, sin que se trate de la carrera de un poderoso como Michael Jordan, se pueden contar historias igualmente inspiradoras y cercanas a todos.
The story of the movie is one of self-improvement, since as I mentioned both Jeremy and Kamal have great talent, but for different reasons they did not succeed. The message of the movie will show us that there is more than one way to succeed, if we stay focused.
It seems to me a great story, very normal, very feasible, without being about the career of a powerful man like Michael Jordan, you can tell stories equally inspiring and close to everyone.
En ese buscar superarse, la película aborda temas actuales como la salud mental. Y es que todos hablamos ahora abiertamente de nuestros problemas, de nuestras frustraciones, sabemos que tenemos momentos de ira, de explotar, de angustia por no lograr lo que suponíamos deberíamos haber logrado por nuestros talentos, limitados por situaciones económicas y un montón de problemas con los que tenemos que vivir hoy en día.
Me parece muy positivo que películas como esta nos enseñen que podemos gestionar nuestros problemas, y que eso está bien, que es normal y que hay que seguir adelante.
In this search for self-improvement, the film addresses current issues such as mental health. We all talk openly now about our problems, our frustrations, we know that we have moments of anger, of exploding, of anguish for not achieving what we were supposed to have achieved because of our talents, limited by economic situations and a lot of problems that we have to live with nowadays.
I find it very positive that movies like this one teach us that we can manage our problems, and that it's okay, that it's normal and that we have to move on.
Para mí fue nuevo esto de las competencias de básquet callejero, y también los eventos de este tipo con patrocinantes y premios atractivos. La película nos muestra todo esto y me parece muy interesante las oportunidades que tienen los deportistas en diferentes ambientes.
Street basketball competitions were new to me, as well as events of this type with sponsors and attractive prizes. The film shows us all this and I find the opportunities that athletes have in different environments very interesting.
Kamal tiene su familia, una esposa que desea tener su salón de belleza y que lo apoya incondicionalmente, y junto con su hijo lo acompañan en toda su historia.
Kamal has his family, a wife who wants to have his own beauty salon and who supports him unconditionally, and together with his son, they accompany him throughout his story.
Jeremy tiene una novia, que es el personaje que menos me gustó de la película porque creo que no tienen buena comunicación, y cuando discuten suelen separarse por ratos, y esta es una característica que no me gusta de las personas.
Jeremy has a girlfriend, which is the character I liked the least in the movie because I think they don't have good communication, and when they argue they tend to split up at times, and this is a characteristic I don't like in people.
Les recomiendo esta película, creo que les va a gustar como me gustó a mí. Es una película muy ligera de ver y divertida, pero que si son como mi familia y conversan sobre los puntos o temas que tocó, verán varios mensajes importantes que nos hacen reflexionar y nos ayudan a avanzar.
I recommend this movie, I think you will like it as much as I did. It is a very light movie to watch and fun, but if you are like my family and talk about the points or topics it touched on, you will see several important messages that make us reflect and help us move forward.
