Take A Look Around Asian Civilisation Museum, Singapore

Hello traveler...

My journey in Singapore has not stopped. Do you remember about me accidentally End Up around the Singapore River, Cavinagh Bridge? Apparently, there is not only the bridge that is the attraction but also the surrounding area. Along the Singapore River, there are many parks and ancient buildings with very important functions for Singapore. One of them is this park, I don't know what it's called but this park is right in front of the Asian Civilization Museum and Singapore River.

At first, I was interested in visiting the museum, but the queue was very long inside, so I decided not to. I think I should visit it another time. At that time I only wanted to visit free places in Singapore, while seeing what paid places were worth visiting.

I sat for a while in this park, then observing the traffic around me. From my analysis, the park around the Singapore River and the Asian Civilization Museum has transformed into a public space that can be used for any activity, including children's drama practice. I witnessed the activity while walking towards the state museum. Their jokes made me miss my school days.

Now let's take a look around the park.

24 Hours in Singapore

What caught my attention the most was this artwork. It was called 24 Hours in Singapore. This artwork is simply an installation of a work that resembles a clock, which has 24 hours. This is an artwork created by a Singaporean artist named Baet Yeok Kua using stainless steel material. Uniquely, the silver capsule is placed similar to the hands of a clock. I see it as an embodiment of the sun. This is an interesting artwork that has been there since 2015. Almost a decade but looks new.

In addition to the artwork above, there are also statues that seem to show how Singaporeans used to study. I like the theme of this artwork. It seems to convey that high knowledge can be achieved if we choose the right teacher. It's still next to the Singapore River.

Victoria Concert Hall

Next to the Asian Civilization Museum, there is a magnificent building. I thought it was a government building because it looked very historical, but it turned out to be a concert hall called Victoria Hall. The building was so epic, that I want to go inside it another time. I bet, classical music will often be played there. Even though I am not a fan of classical music, I want to see it once in my life.

Anderson Bridge

Then there is also Anderson Bridge which also has many visitors. I just passed it because I was in a hurry to my main destination. It was because it was getting dark and I wanted to meet the phenomenal Merlion Statue immediately.

What I remember about Anderson Bridge is that it has an architecture that is no less unique than Cavenagh Bridge. Of course this bridge also has an important history for Singapore.

Thanks in advance guys, to read my blog and hope you like my post!

Vivie Hardika

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
