The Sacred Mausoleum Attaturk, Ankara - Turkey

Hi Everyone...

Last year's trip to Turkey had many visits to cemeteries. That was the thing I didn't like about last year's Turkey trip because almost half of the visits were to cemeteries. It's true, the burial of an important figure in Turkish history, but I still can't enjoy visiting the cemetery. I have skipped several cemetery due personal reason, but at this time, I could not skipped due the cemetery kinda not like cemetery.

It was cemetery of Kemal Mustafa Ataturk who is a Turkish military officer and statesman who led the country's revolution and the first President of Turkey. The cemetery was different because it is very closely guarded by the military.

Let's found out what is inside of Ataturk Cemetery and why I mentioned as different cemetery.

This sacred Mausoleum Ataturk closely guarded by the Turkish military as you can see in the front of this place, there is a guard. I even had the chance to see the guards changing shifts. They carried out a series of shift changes in a very stately manner, typical of the military.

I thought that these two guards were puppets because they didn't move at all. Like a statue. But they are humans. How cool the guard is there.

The area in the cemetery is a large room without any furniture. There are only barriers used for pilgrims queuing.

The sacred cemetery of Kemal Ataturk

Here is the tomb of Kemal Ataturk, the first President of Turkey.

This tomb was made in the shape of an octagen, of course adapting to the Ottoman architecture at the time of its creation. Kemal Ataturk's tomb was designed unusually, namely using a pyramid on top of the grave surrounded by vases containing tanag from every province in Turkey. Apart from that, there are also plants originating from 25 countries in the world.

The inscription on the right is an inscription containing the Inscription of Ataturk's Last Message of the Turkish Army. As a military man, of course the late president Kemal Ataturk wanted to give a message to his successors, the army to keep their country safe and peaceful.

The building that protects Kemal Ataturk's burial is very magnificent. Viewed from afar, it indeed looked like a solidly built stone square.

I'm thrilled to have been there cause our president, Ir. Joko Widodo also have been there, he has been visited this tomb and pay respects to the late Kemal Ataturk.

Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!
See you...

Vivie Hardika

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.

Personally I don't like to visit cemeteries, the last time I visited one I observed how the ingenuity of the architects allows them to create outstanding designs in the mausoleums.

Happy and blessed weekend!
