Winter in Erciyes, Turkey

The story about why I chosen Turkey as my first trip abroad was no visa then the snow there.

Recently the weather in Indonesia, especially Jakarta, has not been good. There is no wind so the weather kinda dry and the UV index is extreme. Every day, the temperature races from 36 degrees to 38 degrees.

Can you imagine how hot it is outside the house?

A long dry season is hitting Jakarta, I can't even remember the last time it rained, especially around where I live.

My mind then recalling my last trip in Turkey, especially in Erciyes. On February, snow in Turkey almost melted. In several place like Cappadocia, there is still snow, so for playing a snow our trip went to Erciyes.

Erciyes is a mountain range where the entire area is still covered in snow. Our Tour Guide said that the snow in Erciyes takes the longest time to melt, so even though winter is almost over in Turkey, we can still enjoy the snow. This is my first snow, by the way. For tropical people like me and my trip members, snow and playing in the middle of snow mountains is something that makes us thrilled.

The temperature in Erciyes when we visited had not yet reached minus degrees, it was still around 7 degrees but I was already cold. I combined my black jacket and my white pluffy jacket, but it didn't seem like enough. I'm still cold. Even my scarf and gloves couldn't ward off the cold. But, I enjoyed!

Our tour guide recommended us to climbing to the summit. This is the best part from overall our trip. I've never hiked, and this was my first time climbing a mountain. However, we took a gondola to make our journey easier. After riding the gondola, we went to summit. It felt like I was out of breath and cold. But the desire to get a good view pushed me to reach the top without giving up even though I almost gave up.

Even though I was cold and almost couldn't stand in the summit, I wasn't deterred or even regretted it. If I have the opportunity to visit Turkey again, I would like to stay longer in Erciyes, enjoying a cup of hot coffee while watching other visitors skiing. Maybe I can also ski or skateboard there. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to visit, I even forgot to record our time playing in the snow.

The dry season in Jakarta really brings my memories of traveling to Turkey back. I feel like I want to escape the high temperature of Jakarta and go to a country that has entered winter.

Should I?

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.

Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author.
