Heroes of Mavia selects BASE Blockchain 🔵!

Hi HODLers, Hiveans and Lions,

After announcing that it will select a blockchain to settle on and continue developing Heroes of Mavia $MAVIA, the company picked Base Chain, an Ethereum Layer2 built by the Centralized Crypto Exchange Coinbase

Heroes of Mavia — a popular NFT-based multiplayer base-building strategy game — recently announced harnessing the power of Coinbase’s Base as a growth vehicle for its mobile gaming ecosystem.

There is an upcoming integration of EIP-4844 on Base. This is likely to drive down the gaming platform’s gas fees by 10-100x.

Such reductions are vital for many Blockchain games and it is the case for Mavia's Ruby marketplace, necessary for trading in-game ‘Legendary’ items for $RUBY and other cryptocurrencies.

On a personal note, I believe this might be a good fit for a good game already live on the App Store with tons of users and a good gamer's experience. Base is going to allow them to have high txs volume and potentially more VC money.

On the other hand, I was surprised they wouldn;t go for one of the top Web3 Gaming Blockchains such as Polygon + ImmutableX or even Ronin (Axie Infinity's spin-off blockchain).

Poke: I hope their Blockchain can take a 10X increase in traffic unlike their Coinbase Trading Platform... 🤣

I have an account and enjoyed playing it. Unfortunately, I don't have the time and patience as I used to when I played such games. Therefore, I am just tuning in for fun but most likely will give up on this game.

In any case, this is what we call a AAA Game as it meets the highest Gaming standards. And this is great for the #Web3 Gaming space, after 3-4 years of investments and developments, Games are coming live and are polished!
