Plovila je barka mala
lomilo je sinje more,
sve vetrove izdržala
dočekala mirne zore.
Preplovila sva je mora
i duboke okeane,
borila se s’ olujama
došlo vreme da joj svane.

A small boat was sailing
the blue sea broke,
withstood all the winds
welcomed the peaceful dawn.
She has sailed all the seas
and deep oceans,
she fought the storms
it was time for her to wake up.

Sad u luci ukotvljena,
miluju je nežno vali,
i sad lepa kao nekad,
opevaše je mornari.
Odmara se barka mala
međ’ velikim brodovima,
Zagledani u nju svi su,
zagonetka ona svima.

Now anchored in the harbor,
caress her gently,
and now as beautiful as before,
the sailors sang it.
A small boat is resting
among the big ships,
Everyone stared at her,
she is a puzzle to everyone.

Nedaleko s’ leve strane
jedrenjak se na nju smeši,
zadrhtaše jedra bela,
zaljubljen je, možda grešim?

Not far to the left
the sailboat smiles at her,
the white sails trembled,
he's in love, maybe I'm wrong?

Zaćarlija povetarac,
napuni joj jedra bela,
primače se jedrenjaku,
pravdala se, nije htela.

A bitter breeze,
fill her sails white,
are received by the sailing ship,
she excused herself, she didn't want to.

Zauvek je sad jedrenjak
svoja jedra bela svio
a telom je od vetrova,
malu barku zaštitio.

It's a sailing ship forever now
