U ovom akvarelu, Venecija se ne izdiže kao razglednica već kao sanjivi pejzaž duše. Grad u daljini, obavijen izmaglicom, samo naslućuje svoju raskoš – kao sećanje koje polako bledi, ali ne nestaje.

U prvom planu, gondole plutaju u tišini, svaka kao misao koja traži svoj put. Voda nosi zeleni i plavi ton, bez težine, bez ivica. Kao da je sama Venecija proizašla iz mora, a ne iz ruku graditelja.
In the foreground, the gondolas float in silence, each like a thought seeking its own way. Water carries a green and blue tone, without weight, without edges. It is as if Venice itself emerged from the sea, and not from the hands of the builders.
U ovoj slici nema turista, buke, ni galame. Postoji samo tiho kretanje. Sve je usporeno,i dan, i svetlost, i pogled.
In this picture, there are no tourists, no noise, no uproar. There is only silent movement. Everything is slowed down, the day, the light, and the view.
Grad u pozadini podseća nas da čak i ono što je daleko, što je gotovo nestalo, može postojati kroz boju, kroz atmosferu, kroz san.
The city in the background reminds us that even what is far away, what is almost gone, can exist through color, through atmosphere, through a dream.
Ovaj akvarel je pogled na Veneciju kroz unutrašnje oko, kroz osećanje, a ne kroz geografiju. Grad nije centar, centar su voda, senke, i ono što ne možemo jasno razaznati, a ipak je tu, tu oko nas...
This watercolor is a view of Venice through the inner eye, through feeling, not through geography. The city is not the center, the center is water, shadows, and what we cannot clearly discern, and yet it is there, around us...
