Tišina crvenog kimona / The silence of the red kimono

Postoji neka neuhvatljiva tišina u liku gejše. Kao da u njenom pogledu pleše sve ono što ostaje neizrečeno ,spokoj, disciplina, tuga i snaga.

There is an elusive stillness in the character of a geisha. It's as if everything that remains unsaid is dancing in her gaze, calm, discipline, sadness and strength.

Ovaj akvarel nastao je iz želje da uhvatim upravo tu ravnotežu...

This watercolor was born from the desire to capture exactly that balance...

...krhkost i postojanost žene koja ne pripada ovom vremenu, ali ga i dalje tiho oblikuje svojim prisustvom.

...the fragility and constancy of a woman who does not belong to this time, but still quietly shapes it with her presence.

Dok sam slikala, mislila sam na slojeve – ne samo slojeve svile, već i slojeve značenja, kulture, ženstvenosti i distance.

As I painted, I thought of layers—not just layers of silk, but layers of meaning, culture, femininity, and distance.

Boje su me vodile same: crvena kao strast i opasnost, indigo kao noć i sećanje, i zlatna kao sećanje na nešto izgubljeno, ali dragoceno.

The colors guided me by themselves: red as passion and danger, indigo as night and memory, and gold as the memory of something lost but precious.

Gejša u ovom radu ne gleda posmatrača direktno...

The geisha in this work does not look directly at the viewer...

Njena pažnja je usmerena ka nečemu izvan kadra – možda prema melodiji koja se ne čuje, možda prema sećanju koje ne bledi...🌹

Her attention is directed towards something outside the frame - perhaps towards a melody that cannot be heard, perhaps towards a memory that does not fade...🌹
