U poseti Rumuniji i njenom najlepšem gradu Temišvaru!Visiting Romania and its most beautiful city, Timisoara!

A few days ago, a friend invited me to a table tennis tournament held in Timisoara. The trip to Romania already seemed attractive enough to me, and especially socializing with our "neighbors" through sports. I didn't think long. The tournament was supposed to start at 6 p.m., and because of our commitments, we started early, believing that we would arrive on time. We took it as an adventure, took our passports and set off!
The weather was cloudy and we expected rain.

All of them were strong opponents, but we still got some medals, got dressed and went on a tour of the city. Although it was raining, cold and already deep into the night, we went to the center of Timisoara to see its most beautiful parts
First we went to the bridge under which the river Begei flowed.

Timisoara got its name from the river Tamis, which used to flow through this city, causing frequent floods. It was later diverted and now flows outside the city. Now there is only the river Begay, which is bordered and paved with a beautiful promenade. Countless street lamps are reflected in the river at night. Fairy tale isn't it?

U poslednje vreme grad ulaže mnogo u renoviranje i očuvanje kulture. Najveći trg je trg Ujedinjenja. U Temišvaru blista arhitektura u baroknom stilu, dok se simultano grade crkve svih zastupljenih religija i poštuje etnička šarenolikost stanovništva.

Then we went to the innermost center where we were greeted by a beautiful fountain in several levels as well as beautiful buildings influenced by Austrian architecture. Recently, the city has been investing a lot in the renovation and preservation of culture. The largest square is the Unification Square. In Timişoara, baroque architecture shines, while churches of all represented religions are built simultaneously and the ethnic diversity of the population is respected.

Timisoara is often called Little Vienna because the Austrian influence is felt in all aspects of the city's culture. Of all the buildings, I liked the Opera House the most. Look at that majestic beauty of fine architecture. Baroque style is present at every step.

This city will certainly not leave you indifferent, you must come to Timisoara at least once and then you will have to come back again. Even the cold autumn days were more beautiful in the streets of this city, which is the third largest city in Romania located in the west. The streets are full of fallen yellow leaves that looked like yellow snow illuminated by elegant street lamps.

Još jednom lepom i šarmantnom gradu u ovoj divnoj zemlji. Baš se radujem Do tada. . .👋👋👋

The rich history of Timisoara and its great diversity make this city irresistible for tourists. The most important sights are mostly located near the city center, which creates the impression that the center of Timisoara is one big museum.
I'm sorry we didn't have more time to tour, but I'm grateful for this opportunity. It is most likely that we will have the opportunity again at the beginning of December to play table tennis again in Romania, but this time in Rad. Another beautiful and charming city in this wonderful country. I'm really looking forward to it. Until then. . .👋👋👋

Pozdrav od Anke vragolanke.

I spent three years in the city during college. It has its beauty indeed but I'd say there are nicer ones than this one. My grandma was born and raised there...

Did you find anyone speaking Serbian at the tournament?

Long after the departure of the Ottomans, the Serbs continued to represent the majority population, and Timisoara is still considered a Serbian city in Romania today, as evidenced by the Serbian cultural institutions, as well as the Orthodox Serbian churches. . .

So my answer is YES, of course.
