BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! || FABFOUR Ruleset

avatar

Hi everyone, Welcome to my BATTLE MAGE SECRETS post. BATTLE MAGE SECRETS itself is a replacement for SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE, where if SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE takes 1 monster as its weekly theme while BATTLE MAGE SECRETS takes 1 Ruleset as its theme. And the theme for this week is...

FABFOUR

"Up to Four Units can be used."

FABFOUR is one of the new rulesets introduced in March this year. As the name suggests, FABFOUR is a ruleset related to the number 4. The number 4 in question refers to the limit on the number of units used in this ruleset. We can only use no more than 4 units (monsters).

To overcome battles in the FABFOUR Ruleset, we must also look at the number of available Manacaps and Elements and other Rulesets that accompany them. But as much as possible, use monsters with high ATTACK POWER or monsters with high Health points.

Speed is also needed to defeat one of the opponent's monsters and weaken their attack power. Abilities such as SWIFTNESS and SLOW which are abilities that are specialized to regulate speed can be an option to use in the FABFOUR Ruleset.

RULESET & FORMATION

In addition to FABFOUR, the Rulesets in this battle are...

BORN AGAIN

BORN AGAIN is one of the rulesets that gives all monsters in the battle arena an additional ability in the form of REBIRTH . REBIRTH is an ability that can revive fallen monsters. This ability applies only to the owner and cannot be used to revive other monsters and this ability can only be used once per battle.

An ability that works almost similar to REBIRTH is RESURRECT . The difference is that RESURRECT cannot be used for the owner and only for monsters other than the ability owner.

HEAVY HITTERS

HEAVY HITTERS is one of the rulesets that gives all monsters in the battle arena an additional ability in the form of KNOCKOUT . KNOCKOUT is an ability that requires another ability to activate its effect. The ability in question is STUN , and to activate the effect of KNOCKOUT, the target must be in a STUN effect (unable to move). The effect of KNOCKOUT will deal 2 times the damage to monsters that are in the STUN effect.

My Line-Up

CardsAbilityReason
- Give reduction of 1 SPEED to All Enemies

- Give reduction of 1 ATTACK POWER to All Enemies Ranged monsters
The reason I use Quix the Devious is because I want to reduce my opponent's speed by using the 1 SPEED reduction it gives. And of the 3 elements available, only Dragon has SUMMONER that matches my wish.

Another reason is that by using DRAGON SUMMONER, we can also use monsters from 1 other element besides DRAGON SPLINTER.
THORN + ENRAGE + TRUE STRIKEDjinn Chwala is my choice to fill the first position because it is likely that the opponent will also use Melee monsters in the first position. Djinn Chwala has the THORNS ability that can deal 2 points of damage to the attacker if the attacker is a Melee monster.

And if its Health points are reduced, it will receive additional SPEED and ATTACK POWER from the ENRAGE ability.
REACH + DOUBLE STRIKE + SHIELDBecause there are quite a lot of Manacaps available even though I have to limit the use of monsters to only 4 units, I chose monsters that have the highest ATTACK POWER. The Carnage Titan became one of the choices because it has 4 points of ATTACK POWER accompanied by the DOUBLE STRIKE ability which allows it to attack twice in one round. The Carnage Titan is also equipped with the REACH ability that allows it to attack in the second position even though it is a melee monster.
FLYING + SCATTER SHOT + BLAST + BLINDAnother monster with high attack power is Chaos Dragon. Although it doesn't have DOUBLE STRIKE like Carnage Titan, Chaos Dragon still has SCATTER SHOT and BLAST abilities which are a combination of attacks that cannot be predicted.
FLYING + REPAIR + RESURRECT + IMMUNITY + SWIFTNESSEven though it has the lowest Mana points compared to the others, I still choose Adelade Brightwing because it has the SWIFTNESS ability to add 1 SPEED to all my monsters and the RESURRECT ability which will be used as an "extra" to resurrect my monsters that have been defeated by the opponent.

BATTLE START !!!

image.png

The opposing side both used Quix the Devious as a summoner although there were some different monsters.

image.png

In the first round, my Chaos Dragon got the chance to attack first and targeted its attack at Arkemis the Bear (the additional damage hit Carnage Titan). Because of that, Arkemis the Bear* was in RAGE mode and attacked Djinn Chwala and reduced Djinn Chwala's attack power to half. But from that attack, Arkemis the Bear was hit by THORNS and took 2 points of damage that destroyed his ARMOR.

Djinn Chwala, Carnage Titan, and Adelade Brightwing defeated Arkemis the Bear for the first time.

The opponent's Chaos Dragon targeted Adelade Brightwing and the additional damage hit my Chaos Dragon. The attack from the opponent's Carnage Titan failed to hit Djinn Chwala but not the attack from Djinn Muirat which successfully hit it.

image.png

In the second round, Djinn Chwala managed to damage Arkemis the Bear's ARMOR. Arkemis the Bear who managed to counter the attack was defeated by THORNS. My Chaos Dragon targeted Djinn Muirat while Carnage Titan could only land the first attack on the opponent's Carnage Titan.

The opponent's Chaos Dragon and Carnage Titan* defeated Djinn Chwala for the first time. Djinn Chwala was defeated again and now by an attack from Djinn Muirat.

image.png

In the third round, Djinn Chwala attacked Carnage Titan. My Chaos Dragon targeting Djinn Muirat defeated Carnage Titan with additional damage. My Carnage Titan and Adelade Brightwing* defeated my opponent's Carnage Titan again.

Chaos Dragon and Djinn Muirat defeated Carnage Titan and Djinn Chwala.

image.png

In the fourth round, my Chaos Dragon attacked my opponent's Chaos Dragon. The Carnage Titan defeated the Djinn Muirat for the first time.

The attack from your opponent's Chaos Dragon defeated 3 monsters at once (Chaos Dragon, Carnage Titan, and Adelade Brightwing).

image.png

In the last round, my Chaos Dragon managed to defeat Djinn Muirat and Chaos Dragon*. But unfortunately, he also had to lose because he was hit by Djinn Muirat's MAGIC REFLECT. Adelade Brightwing defeated the opponent's Chaos Dragon.

Review of this battle

I managed to win this battle because luck was on my side. When viewed from the battle above, Chaos Dragon (both on my side and the opponent's side) became the determinant of victory in this battle. Although several monsters play an important role, the erratic attacks of Chaos Dragon make the chances of victory for both parties at 50%/50%.
