Hi everyone, Welcome to my post regarding the "SHARE YOUR BATTLE" Challenge. For this week's challenge, I'll be sharing my battles using one of RIFTWATCHERS monster. And before going to the main discussion.........

The ruleset for this time is ARMORED UP and HEAVY HITTERS with 40 mana. ARMORED UP is a situation where All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. Meanwhile, HEAVY HITTERS is a situation where All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.

My Line-Up

CardsAbilityReason
Give Additional 1 ARMOR to All Allies

Give Additional VOID ARMOR and AMPLIFY ability to All Allies
I use GrandMaster Rathe because it has the ability to give VOID ARMOR to all my monsters. VOID ARMOR itself is quite useful when dealing with Magic monsters because attacks from the opponent's Magic monsters will hit ARMOR first.
(In general, Magic monster attacks will directly hit Health points even though they have ARMOR)
Shield + Void (Lv1)
+ Magic Reflect (Lv2)
Lord Arianthus is very suitable for dealing with all types of monsters (Melee, Ranged, and Magic monsters) even without Attack points. All of his abilities at level 1 were enough to reduce the damage he received from attacks from various types of monsters.
Headwinds (Lv1)I chose to use Runemancer Atuat to prevent the opponent's Range monsters from attacking in full, especially since there was a possibility that the opponent would use General Sloan which gave an additional 1 Attack point to the Range monsters.

If the attacks of the Range monsters were reduced, then their attacks might not do damage to Lord Arianthus who had SHIELD.
Protect (Lv3)Defender of Truth is useful for multiplying ARMOR which will later become VOID ARMOR. I prefer Defender of Truth over Truthspeaker because it has Attack points (although the amount of Mana required increases)
Flying + Repair (Lv1)
+ Resurrection (Lv2)
Since each of my monsters has an ARMOR (thanks to Grandmaster Rathe and Defender of truth) then I need a monster that has REPAIR to be able to restore the ARMOR lost due to attacks from the enemy monster.

At level 2, Adelade Brightwing has Resurrection which is useful for reviving my defeated monsters so they can fight once again.
Silence (Lv4)Elven Mystic is in charge of reducing the Attack point of the opponent's Magic monster. This is done so that the ARMOR (which has been changed to VOID ARMOR) does not run out quickly and hits Health points.
Stun (Lv1)The HEAVY HITTERS Ruleset is very beneficial for monsters that have the STUN ability, so I brought Runeslinger to the battle arena this time. If his attack successfully inflicts a STUN effect on the opponent's monster, then most of my other monsters will deal double damage to that opponent's monster.

BATTLE START !!!

image.png

My opponent uses Kelya Frendul which gives 1 additional ARMOR and SPEED to all of my opponent's monsters. He also brings a lot of monsters that have high SPEED (though that doesn't matter because most of my attacks come from Magic monsters).

After all abilities are applied.....

image.png

Kelya Frendul's Ability grants an additional 1 ARMOR and SPEED to all of opponent's monsters. No additional abilities are granted from opponent's monsters.

Grandmaster Rathe's Ability grants an additional 1 ARMOR and AMPLIFY ability to all my monsters and all ARMOR turns into VOID ARMOR. Additional abilities from monsters include an additional 2 ARMOR granted by Defender of Truth, a 1 Attack point reduction to all opposing monsters' range granted by Runemancer Atuat, and a 1 Attack point reduction to all opposing monsters' magic granted by Elven Mystic.

In the first round, Diemonshark, Kulu Swimhunter and Flying Squid attacked Lord Arianthus although not optimally because of the SHIELD. Djinn Oshannus also tried to attack Lord Arianthus but couldn't because of his reduced Attack points and because of VOID. even though his attack didn't do any damage, Djinn Oshannus still received MAGIC-REFLECT. when almost all the opponent monsters focused their attacks on Lord Arianthus, Deeplurker chose to attack Defender of Truth who had the lowest Health points of all my monsters.

On my side, Defender of Truth attacked Diemonshark first but was healed by Merdaali Guardian. Then it was Runeslinger's turn to attack Diemonshark and he managed to give STUN to Diemonshark so that the attacks of my other 3 monsters were doubled. Elven Mystic, Adelade Brightwing and Runemancer Atuat deal 10 points of attack (normally 5 points) to make Diemonshark lose this round. Not to forget Adelade Brightwing repaired the missing ARMOR of Lord Arianthus.

image.png

In the second round, the attacks from the opponent were slightly reduced due to the defeat of Diemonshark. Only the attacks from Flying Squid did damage to Lord Arianthus, while the attacks from Djinn Oshannus and Kulu Swimhunter did no damage at all. The Deeplurker attacked again and now managed to destroy the entire ARMOR of the Defender of Truth.

On my side, Defender of Truth attacked Flying Squid first but was healed by Merdaali Guardian. When Runeslinger attacked Flying Squid, he failed to cast STUN on Flying Squid. Elven Mystic, Adelade Brightwing and Runemancer Atuat deal 5 points worth of attacks to Flying Squid. Adelade Brightwing is now repairing the ARMOR of Defender of Truth that was missing before.

image.png

The events in Round 3 were almost the same as in Round 2, the only difference was that the attack from Flying Squid failed to hit Lord Arianthus so he did not receive any damage in this third round.

Runeslinger managed to land a STUN on Flying Squid so that he could be defeated only with attacks from Elven Mystic and Adelade Brightwing. Meanwhile, Runemancer Atuat attacked Djinn Oshannus who took the place of Flying Squid.

image.png

In the fourth round, Runeslinger successfully landed a STUN on Djinn Oshannus (After previously getting attacked by Defender of Truth and healed by Merdaali Guardian). But because Djinn Oshannus has VOID and my 3 monsters that will attack are Magic monsters, the effect of the attack is the same as when attacking monsters without VOID abilities that are not affected by STUN.

image.png

In the fifth round, Djinn Oshannus was defeated after receiving a MAGIC-REFLECT from Lord Arianthus and an attack from Defender of Truth. The Merdaali Guardian that occupied the position left by Djinn Oshannus was also defeated instantly by attacks from Runeslinger, Elven Mystic and Adelade Brightwing. Meanwhile, Runemancer Atuat attacked Deeplurker who was now at the very front.

STRATEGY (Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?)

Although in this battle the result was predictable (the difference in strength was quite far between my side and the opposing side), I was quite satisfied. Especially this time I brought 2 monsters from the RIFTWATCHER edition which turned out to exceed my expectations.

for the next strategy, I won't change it at all unless there's a Ruleset that prohibits the use of one of my monsters in the current formation.

Do you like Runeslinger?

Runeslinger instantly became one of my favorite monsters when RIFTWATCHER first appeared. I was attracted to him because he has a stat that is almost similar to Lightning Dragon level 2, which is high SPEED and has the STUN ability. STUN itself is one of my favorite abilities that can stop the opponent's movement in 1 Round. It can be very advantageous in some situations....
