Social Media Challenge || Opponent's Monster gets Stunned in Each Round

Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I'm going to share a battle where I managed to make some of my opponent's monsters immobilized and attacked each round. Want to know how I did it? Check it out below...

Make the opponent's monsters unable to move

Is there any way to make the opponent immobilized?

Of course, there is. The way to make the opponent's monsters unable to move is to use an ability. That ability is STUN . STUN is an ability that can make your opponent unable to move in 1 round. The meaning of unable to move here is that if the opponent is affected by the effect of this ability, the monster cannot attack its target and cannot use support abilities (heal, repair, etc.). The effect of the STUN ability is only valid for 1 round (or until the effect is removed using the CLEANSE ability). So if a monster is hit by the STUN effect before it gets its turn to attack, then it can only attack in the next round. But if it has already had its turn to attack before it gets the STUN effect, then in the next round, it cannot attack.

STUN ability has a slight drawback, where the success rate of this effect is not 100%. So there is still a possibility that if the owner of this ability attacks the target, the target does not get the effect of the STUN ability.

In Splinterlands, the STUN ability has its combination, the KNOCKOUT ability. KNOCKOUT is an ability that deals double damage to monsters affected by the STUN ability. KNOCKOUT ability also has its Ruleset version, which is HEAVY HITTERS Ruleset, In the HEAVY HITTERS ruleset, all monsters each receive an additional KNOCKOUT ability. This is sometimes utilized by some players to use monsters with the STUN ability as much as possible to deal damage to the opponent faster (because as I said before if the success rate of giving the STUN effect to the target is not 100%).

And for the monster that I will use this time is Septic Slime.

Septic Slime already has the STUN ability since level 1. And it can only get additional abilities in the form of HEAL when it is at level 6 and TRUE STRIKE at level 10. Below is a battle where I managed to give a STUN effect to the opponent's monster who was in the first position in (almost) every round using Septic Slime.

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is REVERSE SPEED (The monster with the lowest SPEED point will get the first turn to attack), and COUNTERSPELL (All monsters in the battle arena receive an additional ability in the form of MAGIC REFLECT ).

In this battle, I used FIRE SPLINTER instead of WATER SPLINTER because the average monster in FIRE SPLINTER has a lower SPEED than WATER SPLINTER. I use TARSA as a summoner to give additional ATTACK POWER and HEALTH to all my monsters, while the opponent uses ETERNAN BRUNE which gives a reduction of 2 ARMOR to all opponent's monsters and can use 1 GLADIUS card.

For additional buffs and de-buffs coming from monsters, my side has Tusk the Wide which grants an additional 1 ATTACK POWER to all of my monsters' Melee attacks and Molten Ash Golem which grants a 1 Health oint reduction to all of my opponent's monsters. The opposing side also has Molten Ash Golem and Ferox Defender which grant an additional 2 ARMOR to all monsters on the opposing side.

In the first round, Septic Slime managed to attack and STUN Grum Flameblade so that he could not attack in this first round. Grum Flameblade also received POISON and AFFLICTION effects from Doctor Blight's attack which made him unhealable and reduced his Health by 2 points each round. Ferox Defender briefly repaired the ARMOR of Grum Flanmeblade, but was eventually removed again by Molten Ash Golem and Junker. My last attack was from Lava Launcher.

On the opposing side, there was only Chimney Wallstop and Molten Ash Golem* attacking Septic Slime.

In the second round, Septic Slime again managed to STUN Grum Flameblade. Although his ARMOR was repaired by Ferox Defender, Grum Flameblade was defeated by attacks from Molten Ash Golem and Junker*.

The Chimney Wallstop who was now in the first position along with the Molten Ash Golem attacked the Septic Slime. After the attack, Chimney Wallstop received an attack from Lava Launcher.

In the third round, Septic Slime also managed to STUN Chimney Wallstop. Although his ARMOR was repaired by Ferox Defender, Chimney Wallstop was defeated by attacks from Molten Ash Golem, Junker, and Lava Launcher*. Molten Ash Golem, which was the only opposing monster that got a turn to attack in the round, failed to land its attack on Septic Slime.

In the fourth round, Septic Slime managed to inflict another STUN effect, and its victim was now Ferox Defender. Due to the STUN effect, apart from being unable to attack, Feroc Defender was also unable to use his ability to repair his own ARMOR.

This was utilized by Molten Ash Golem to destroy the entire ARMOR of Ferox Defender. Doctor Blight, who attacked the opponent's monster in the first position at the beginning of the battle, was defeated by the effect of MAGIC REFLECT after successfully attacking from POISON and AFFLICTION to Ferox Defender. Lava Launcher successfully attacked Ferox Defender, but the attack from Junker failed to hit it.

At the start of the fifth round, Ferox Defender lost due to the POISON effect that hit it. The Scorch Fiend was defeated by the Septic Slime while the opponent's Molten Ash Golem was defeated by attacks from the Molten Ash Golem, Junker, and Lava Launcher*.

Battle Review

Because this battle uses the REVERSE SPEED Ruleset, of all the monsters in the battle arena, Septic Slime gets its turn to attack first. Apart from SPEED, Septic Slime is also a monster with Common rarity which is lower than Grum Flameblade and Doctor Blight* which are monsters with Legendary rarity.

Perhaps that was one of the reasons the attack from the opponent's Molten Ash Golem failed to hit the Septic Slime.

The victory this time was arguably a stroke of luck because Septic Slime managed to give a STUN effect in each round. It was a lifesaver because the opponent's monsters had more ATTACK POWER than mine. If Septic Slime had failed to apply the STUN effect, I would most likely have lost this battle.
