Hola queridos amigos, un cordial saludo y feliz día a todos, espero que se encuentren súper genial. En el post de hoy les contaré un lindo reencuentro familiar que tuve en final de año.

Hello dear friends, a cordial greeting and happy day to all, I hope you are super cool. In today's post I will tell you about a nice family reunion that I had at the end of the year.

Mis abuelos paternos viven desde hace muchos años en otra cuidad del país donde vivo, Venezuela; específicamente mi núcleo familiar y yo vivimos en Cumaná, estado Sucre y mis abuelos paternos viven La Asunción, Nueva Esparta conocida como Isla de Margarita. Hace dos años y un poco más no veía a mi querida abuela.

My paternal grandparents have lived for many years in another city in the country where I live, Venezuela; specifically my family nucleus and I live in Cumaná, Sucre state and my paternal grandparents live La Asunción, Nueva Esparta known as Isla de Margarita. Two years ago and a little more I did not see my dear grandmother.

Todo esto comenzó con la situación de crisis sanitaria debido a la pandemia por covid 19, el presidente declaró estado de emergencia y todo el país se paralizó, dejándonos totalmente aislados de nuestros seres queridos y despojándonos de la vida que normalmente teníamos.

All this began with the health crisis situation due to the covid 19 pandemic, the president declared a state of emergency and the entire country came to a standstill, leaving us totally isolated from our loved ones and stripping us of the life we normally had.

A pesar de que entre la cuidad de Cumaná y Margarita no existe una distancia tan larga, y tan solo en 3 o 4 horas puedes llegar, las separa el mar, y solo es posible llegar mediante ferris o lanchas, los cuales también se encontraban sin trabajar, no podíamos salir del estado y no existía un camino verde por dónde ir a darle un abrazo a la abuela.

Although there is not such a long distance between the city of Cumaná and Margarita, and only in 3 or 4 hours you can get there, the sea separates them, and it is only possible to get there by ferries or boats, which were also without work, we could not leave the state and there was no green way to go to give grandmother a hug.

Toda esta situación nos dejaba un gran vacío por no poder visitar a la abuela o ella visitarnos a nosotros, tener en cuenta que son dos personas mayores solos en otra ciudad y sumándole el virus del covid 19 nos tenía una gran preocupación, pensando en que no se infectaran del mismo ya que las personas mayores y con patologías suelen ser gravemente afectadas.

All this situation left us a great void because we could not visit grandmother or she visit us, taking into account that they are two elderly people alone in another city and adding the covid 19 virus we had a great concern, thinking that not they will become infected with it since the elderly and with pathologies are usually seriously affected.

El día 30 de diciembre, la magia de la navidad nos concedió el deseo y la dicha de volver a reunirnos con la abuela, fue un muy grato reencuentro, luego de todo el tiempo sin verla y preocupación que se nos había sumado a esto.

On December 30, the magic of Christmas granted us the wish and happiness of reuniting with grandmother, it was a very pleasant reunion, after all the time without seeing her and worry that had added to this.

Fue un día genialmente especial, donde disfrutamos, bailamos, comimos, bebimos, cantamos, conversamos muchísimo y sobretodo sentí el abrazo de mi hermosa abuela. Por cierto, recibir el año nuevo junto a ella también fue algo genial, luego de tanto tiempo sin poder hacerlo.

It was a brilliantly special day, where we enjoyed, danced, ate, drank, sang, talked a lot and above all I felt the embrace of my beautiful grandmother. By the way, receiving the New Year with her was also great, after not being able to do it for so long.

¡No hay nada más gratificante que pasar tiempo en familia! Y más cuando tenías tanto tiempo sin ver y sentir físicamente el amor y cariño de algún miembro, tal como me sucedió con mi abuelita.

There is nothing more rewarding than spending time with your family! And even more so when you had not seen and physically felt the love and affection of a member for so long, as it happened with my grandmother.
