Do you like butter cake?

Buttercake

It's not difficult to make it it was something my granny baked once in a while.

Her number one was a cake and number two was apple pie. Both great and I haven't found any shop or bakery in my life able to make it like she did.

The children discovered the butter cake.
I doubt I made it that frequently. Somehow I forgot about it.

All you need is (real) butter, sugar, a bit salt and flour. If you like you can add some lemon or fill this dough with marzipan. Oven: 180-200 °C for about 40-45 minutes. You should eat this cold.

Do you like butter cake?
The one on the photo is made by my kid. We couldn't wait till it was cold and yes, we ate it all. 😁

Yes, it's delicious! I made the German version (Butterkuchen) a couple of times. I think the main difference is that they have shaved almonds on top of the cake.

That we do to but it's too expensive to me. Same with filling with marzipan..But it's good for sure. 😄

I don't eat sugar or flour. I've had butter and salt before, though. That's pretty good. :P

Regarding my answers:

"Never ate or made it" - I never ate or made a fresh one.
"Other" - I have eaten only processed versions of butter cake, so I cannot tell for certain whether I would like the fresh (and hot or cold, whichever people prefer) version.

Hot tastes for sure completely different. I don't think many will eat it this way.
For sure the bought version tastes different like each cookie, cake and bread does too. At first we compared with the bought one but home made is way better.
The more home made food you make the more your taste changes. Fabricated foid for example tadtes very salty. Thank you for your vote.
