Hello photography lovers wherever you are, today I found a small and brown spider. I took a photo of it using my smartphone camera in a dark room using a flashlight because I didn't have enough tools.

WIKIPEDIA

Evarcha arcuata is a species of spider in the family Salticidae. This species is also part of the genus Evarcha and the order Araneae. The scientific name of this species was first published in 1757 by Clerck.

So adorable!

Mind, this isn't an Evarcha sp. spider, they belong to the jumping spider family (iconic for two of their eyes being much larger than the other 6). This looks like either Neoscona sp. or Araneus sp. belonging to the orb-weaver spider family of Araneidae.

Ah, no worries. There are sooo many spiders out there, it's difficult to sometimes tell them apart. There are some useful images and help guides available on the web to make it easier to find which spider family a spider belongs to. A great way to tell spider families apart are by how the eyes look (a few images using Google search will pop up for spider eyes). Each family of spiders have different eye arrangements so it's a very accurate way of identifying.
