Loving yourself is good

Loving yourself is good

Source

Life can be really funny sometimes in ways you can't explain. Nobody will ever go that extra mile for you like you can for yourself. Sad truth is, people you trust and love the most can end up hurting you the deepest.

We all have been there - counting on friends or family to have our back no matter what. Thinking they would never let us down or abandon us when times get rough. But then something happened to shatter that trust and love.

Maybe your best friend spread lies about you behind your back. Or your parents disowned you for dating somebody they didn't approve of. Or your spouse cheated and broke your heart into pieces.

Anybody can betray you, no matter how tight you thought that bond was. In this world, the only person you can truly depend on is yourself. That's why self-love is so important.

When you love yourself fully, you don't need to rely on others for your happiness and validation. You already feel complete on your own. Your self-worth doesn't come from what people think of you.

With real self-love, you treat yourself with kindness, compassion and respect - same way you would treat somebody precious in your life. You believe in your dreams and don't let setbacks or negativity from others derail you.

People who love themselves are less likely to stay in toxic situations or relationships out of fear of being alone. They are confident enough to walk away and put their well-being first.

That unshakable self-love allows you to take bigger risks, try new adventures, and chase your wildest ambitions fearlessly. Even if you stumble, the love for yourself provides a safety net to dust off and keep pushing forward.

Of course, loving yourself doesn't mean you shut everybody out and only care about number one. It just means making your self-worth and inner-peace the top priority, before trying to please or depend on others.

With self-love rooted deep down, the wounds from betrayal still sting, but they don't cripple or defeat you. You understand that somebody else's hurtful actions say more about them than you. You refuse to let their choices shrink or diminish you.

It's natural to want love and support from family, friends and partners. But pinning all your self-esteem on that is a setup for crushing pain. Too many folks out here are stuck in misery because they sacrificed self-love for others' approval.

Making that inner love for yourself unconditional - now that's true freedom and power. Everything else is a nice bonus, but your sense of self-worth stays intact no matter what anybody else does or doesn't do.

So ask yourself - do you really love you? Not in an arrogant way, but an honest, nurturing way that provides unshakable confidence no matter what life throws at you. If not, make that your mission starting today. Your life will shine brighter when you commit to loving yourself most of all.

As you rightly said, friend, we should learn to love ourselves. No one can love oneself as much as oneself. This is a very good topic.Thank you.
