My memories of last year

Looking back, last year was a real mix of highs and lows that taught me a lot. While there were plenty of good memories made, the hardest was losing my grandma. She meant the world to me, and her passing really shook our whole family. But even through the pain, I'm grateful for the time we had with her.

Grandma was the kindest, most loving person you could meet. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. Her gentle spirit just radiated warmth that made you feel loved. Family always came first for her.

Some of my best childhood memories involve Grandma - baking cookies together, reading books curled up in her lap, searching for seashells on beach trips. She helped raise me and my siblings, selflessly giving her time and care.

That's why it hit so hard when she passed away last spring after a short illness. Grandma was the heart of our family. The house felt empty without her there to greet us with a smile and hug. I kept expecting to see her sitting in her favorite chair.

For a long time, it was hard to feel hope or joy. Attending her funeral and burying Grandma left me numb. I took comfort from my parents and siblings as we grieved together.

But slowly, the pain has eased as I remember Grandma wouldn't want us to live in sadness. She'd want us to hold onto faith and continue sharing love like she exemplified. Her spirit lives on through us.

Though I miss Grandma every day, her passing taught me to make the most of the time we have with loved ones. I try to pass on her kindness to others. That's the greatest way to keep her memory alive.

Despite the heartache, I have so much to thank God for last year. My best memories are times spent with family and friends, creating moments I'll treasure forever. Grandma taught me how precious each day is.

I know she watches over us, proud of the people we're becoming. Her legacy guides me forward to live life to the fullest. Rest in peace, Grandma. We carry you in our hearts always

Looking through old photo albums brings back happy memories of Grandma. Seeing her radiant smile in pictures is a comfort. She had a joy for life that touched everyone who knew her.

Grandma loved writing letters, so I penned a letter to her expressing everything I wished I could still share. It helped me process my feelings and say a proper goodbye.

Spending time in Grandma's garden, tending to her flowers and plants, makes me feel connected to her spirit. She adored gardening and passed on her green thumb genes!

I try to start each day asking myself "What would Grandma do?" Her kindness and wisdom guide me in situations big and small. She still inspires me daily.

Laughing and swapping stories with family members who also knew Grandma keeps her bright spirit burning. She brought so much laughter into our lives.

Donating to my grandma's favorite charities gives back to causes she was passionate about. I know she smiles seeing her legacy of love continue.

Whenever I bake her famous chocolate chip cookies or chicken noodle soup recipes, I feel Grandma right there with me in the kitchen again. Her cooking mastery lives on.

Though it's been hard without Grandma here, her profound influence on me will last forever. I strive to make her proud and pass on the values she exemplified.

She taught me so much about compassion, gratitude and embracing life fully. My grandma was a blessing - her memory is a gift I'll always cherish.

Thank you so much for reading my post.

You must have bonded with her a lot to miss her presence this much, I once had grandma too but she passed few years ago. rather than being sorrowful it is better to reserve the memories you had with her.
