My simple life in a small town far away.

A peaceful environment is what I or we needed especially in the situation that we are facing for about 2 years now. Let me tell you about my journey of living in a small town in Moalboal. I considered myself as one of the lucky ones that got the privilege to live somewhere whenever I wanted. I know you can too. Okay, here's the start. I know you are not like me who don't like living in the City. I'm always allergic to crowd. I decided to live the life in this small town far away, even though I would lose the job. I just can't exchange the peace of living here for anywhere. Living for almost two months where everything I wanted is there already is like a dream come true to have near the beach and mountains. It is an indescribable feeling of happiness that I felt for a long long time.

Moalboal is one of my favorite places to go whenever I need a weekend getaway. I remember back then my best friend and I went here for a day trip every time she took a day off from work. I made some good friends so I don't feel like I'm an outsider.

I rented a room in a guest house that includes the utility bills and wifi. Also, we have a kitchen and living room. The place is so right for me. Then I got the bonus of having such a lovely housemate who lives next door. We were like family.

Living here is so relaxing and chill. Whenever you like to go under the sun, you can easily go to the beach. You can do things according to your mood. It's the best way to enjoy life, to forget your problems and live for a moment.

I usually go for a walk in the afternoon to watch the sunset or snorkel and sometimes we go for live karaoke in Andis. The fun will start when my friends arrive to dance like crazy. It's like a daily dose for us to express ourselves. You don't feel vulnerable when you sing out loud. When you dance like crazy, you are not vulnerable. You feel like a star brightening.

I fell in love with the place, and the people around me. My friends from the City, they will come on the weekend to hangout. I'm always excited and when you come it would be my pleasure to show you around.

There are some bars on the beach where you can enjoy cold beer, good food, and meeting people. I'm not gonna lie that socializing before and now only makes a little difference when pandemics happen.


I will forever cherish the time and memories that have been created in this town. It is full of happy moments, and good conversation on the beach or in a hammock. There's a lot of to see. On my day-to day basis aside from staying at home for work, I go to my favorite coffee shop, which is the only decent coffee shop in town. I always love their carrot cakes and the falafel, wrap it so good. Also by staying there I can see my friends often when they go for a swim or walk.

When I'm not around town, you can find me somewhere nearby, like Kawasan Falls or on the white beach spending the day. Here's how to live in a small town close by the beach.
