Exploring the Beauty of Sukhna Lake 🌊 in Chandigarh.

Sukhna Lake wasn't part of our Chandigarh plans, but we ended up there after visiting Pinjore Garden.
And if you haven't check out the blog of Pinjore Garden you can check out my previous posts.

The lake was stunning, especially on that sunny day, with lots of people around. Words can't fully capture its beauty.

As we reach the lake .We decided to go for a pedal boat ride to enjoy the peacefulness of the lake.

We got a digital card to rent the boat, which needed at least Rs. 1000 to be added to it. The cost for riding the boat for half an hour was Rs. 500, and we also had to pay a refundable deposit. If we wanted to ride for an hour, it would have cost Rs. 1000.

We picked the half-hour option and happily got onto a pedal boat that could fit four people.

With our safety jackets secured, we received a briefing about the lake's boundaries and safety rules.

Setting off on our sunny adventure, a serene atmosphere enveloped us.

In the middle of the lake, we spotted a mini island. As we approached, there were small boats lined along its edges.

As we pedaled our boat, the pedals moved us forward, guided by the handle for direction .

We also spotted another mini island covered with big trees and small plants, with a single boat parked at its edge.

Initially, there were only a few boats, including ours, but as time passed, more people arrived, and soon there were plenty of boats on the lake.

As we enjoyed our time on the lake, small waves began to gently push our boat towards the corner of the island. Despite this, we continued paddling quickly and having a great time.

However, when we reached the middle of the lake, we got a little scared because the waves became bigger, and we lost control of the boat. The waves started to carry us along with them. But we soon reached at the corners of the lake where there were no big waves.

After a while, a large luxury cruise ship arrived, towering over our little boat. People on the cruise waved at us, making us feel like tiny specks in comparison to the giant ship.

In my opinion, if you visit Chandigarh, you should definitely check out Sukhna Lake and go boating. It's an amazing experience that you shouldn't miss.
I hope you enjoyed reading the blog and viewing the photographs.
Thank you 😊
