Exploring the Fagu farm 🏞️ (A potato research institute, Shimla, India)

Hello travelers 🏔️
I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your adventures around the world. Today, let me show you a beautiful farm that's about 20 to 25 kilometers from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

When I was traveling to Shimla with my cousin, I didn't know that there was a potato research center or a lovely farm in the Shimla district. After we finished our work in Shimla without wasting anytime with thought of visiting the famous ICAR Central Potato Research Institute. This research center is located at a height of 2500 meters.

ICAR Central potato research is a scientific institution that focuses solely on potato crops.

They also provide potato seeds for farming to local people at reasonable prices. They also aware local peoples about the process of growing healthy potato and how they can prevents the potato from diseases.

So without wasting anytime let's start a journey Our trip began from Shimla after finishing our work it took us 40 minutes to reach our destination. I was super excited because it was my first time visiting the farm and research center.

When we arrived at the gate, there was a barrier, so we had to park the car outside and decided to walk in. Inside, there was a lovely tiled road.

On one side, there were pretty barriers, and on the other, there were barriers to protect the farm. It was a beautiful sunny day, making the area even warmer with sunlight.

As we walked ahead, we saw pretty potato farms on our right side. The way they were built looked really nice.

We also spotted a research center further down the path.

It was a tall building with three floors and lovely windows.

Near it, there were many solar panels, and we noticed some antennas too.

As we kept exploring, we saw different types of big greenhouses next to the research center. We guessed they were used for science experiments.

When we reached the farthest point of the center, we saw an amazing pond.

It was surrounded by pretty fences. The sight was amazing!

The sky's bright blue color was reflected in the calm water. The green trees around it was also mirrored in the water. The soft sunlight made everything look warm and cozy. It felt so peaceful there, like nothing else in the world mattered. The whole scene was so beautiful that we couldn't stop looking at it. It left a strong mark on our hearts and minds, something we'll never forget.

Two things I really like about the research center are the helpful techniques they teach local farmers and how they raise awareness among visitors. They also assist locals in growing better potatoes, sometimes the local's of that area also help research workers on the students that came there. Another thing I admire is how beautifully they design the farms and most importantly the water pond , which was the charm of the research centre.

After reaching the pond area, we could see all the hills covered with terrace farming. These farms were carefully maintained and used only to grow potatoes . Sometimes, they sell the potatoes in the market or to local people for planting. Other times, they send them to different parts of the country for research purposes.

Hope you like the blog..
Thank you 😊💕...
Love you Himalayas 🏔️🙏.....
