Another Friday Night
I didn't think Friday would ever arrive! Now I sit beside a burning wood wick candle. It pops and dances by my lounge chair.
We ate chicken breast grilled on the George Foreman counter grill and fried fresh green tomatoes from our container garden. I dipped the slices in seasoned flour and fried them to a golden brown.
It has been a challenging week for my extended family and I wish that I could just "fix it," but I can't. I'm praying for each of the affected loved ones and trusting that these situations will turn around for each.
After dinner, I talked Jeff into taking me to get ice cream. I ordered my favorite flavor, White House, which consists of vanilla cream ice cream and a generous blend of maraschino cherries blended in. I ask for one scoop in a sugar cone.
The grandsons just arrived in a flurry of noise as boys are prone to do. After a rowdy arrival and deposit of their bags, their Dad took them outside for a walk.
Jeff is watching Star Trek and the dogs are in their happy place. I am planning to read on my Kindle app. This is the wild evening we have on Friday night!

The dogs look quite happy taking up all of the couch, there's no room for you on there.
I have never heard of a wood wick candle, I am guessing the wick is wood, but what kind of wood? Bamboo pops when burned, that is the only kind I can think of that does that.
