Eggs-Actly!

avatar

Some people are fryers, some are scramblers, some are boilers and some are poachers. It's all about personal preference. I'm more a boiler than a fryer, but I will eat scramble. It doesn't matter which preference you have, in the end, it all serves the same purpose. We eat eggs for protein. Eggs are high on the news discussion with poultry and egg prices skyrocketing all across the USA. It costs around $5.16 for a dozen eggs in our zip code.

Poultry costs are rising, too. You can get raw chicken breast for $3-$5 a pound. If you desire organic, be ready to pay a lot more.

There is also mysterious coincidence occurring among chicken farmers who are remarking that their chickens are not laying eggs as reported yesterday by Tucker Carlson on YouTube. The farmers are advising on social media such as TicTok that low egg production has something to do with the commercial chicken feed that they have been feeding to their hens. One farmer began purchasing local chicken feed and she said the problem quickly resolved itself.

What do you think? Is this a mere coincidence?

WEF going after cheap energy (gas) and cheap protein (eggs). Setting the stage for electric cars and rationed electricity smart meters.... and "et ze bugs". Not having it, people will produce their own natural gas and raise their own protein!

(Edited)

The only eggs I have left are frozen. During winter they do not lay eggs. Chickens need sunlight and warmth.
Special food isn't needed. They can eat grass, berries, and insects, and dig in the compost pile.

The price of an egg is 40-80 cents.
For chicken (meat) I pay in euros or more for a pound (500 grams) which you pay in dollars btw I prefer buying if it's cheaper (close to the validation date).

The chicken food did change two if not three times in the last months same as dog food (did they add straw or paper to it?). In the past twelve months only once have I been able to buy bones for the wolves (it's cheaper to buy one chicken than 500 grams of the chicken breast).

Our food changed and the plan is we no longer keep animals, pets included and we no longer grow food (vegetable garden included). The seed sold is modified too.
It's even forbidden to use the old seed.

I do not believe in coincidence. Every ten years there's a "serious" disease, big pharma experimented and created new disasters when it comes to side effects, asthma, pseudo croup, ADHD, Alzheimer's, depression, aggression, autism, infertility, aids, sudden death (we've had that with baby's in cribs too for a certain period).

Yes, all of this is their plan and the government isn't even hiding it anymore. Jeff and I will be planting this year in raised beds. We just bought the land I was renting last summer. I hope that you are doing well.

Well, the truth is that this is an Eggstreme situation :D

The truth is that nowadays they put many hormones and chemicals into animals so that they produce more, eat less and obtain more benefits. And that is something that I really do not agree with, I prefer that nature itself do its work, without the hand of man intervening.

We can feel Eggctasy naturally, but of course, that's how I think because I'm a purist in this sense, my dear friend.

Funny and worrying publication.

It is Eggstreme! I agree. I don't want the injected hormones or fake food. No good can come of it in my humble opinion. I'm happy that you liked my freewrite.

As long as everything is natural I prefer it that way. Be careful that not everything they sell you as "organic" is good either, you have to look in detail at what is consumed.

Honestly I am very purist about it and prefer to grow my own food and raise my animals.

@wandrnrose7, what @contagio is saying is true Be careful that not everything they sell you as "organic" is good either, you have to look in detail at what is consumed. I saw a clip of a Dr talking about one day he was having lunch and reading the label on his salad dressing. It said NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED, he turn the bottle over and looked at the ingredients, 2 of which he knew were preservatives. He contacted the company and they said that they are a bottling company and when they get the product to put in their bottles, they do not add preservatives. This is how they get around it... Eggcuse me for getting off track from the eggs. I think all these companies see one raising prices and they all jump in blaming it on this or that while they smile taking our money.

It would be nice to be able to raise all our food, but it's not possible at this point. Garden, yes, some gardening this year. The beef being local grown is a good buy, too.

I would like to have a house where I can grow my things, but I live in an apartment and here space is limited, I only have about 10 m2 on the balcony and there I have 4 plants, 3 aloe vera and one mint, it's all that I can grow for now here. I use mint to add to coffee and sometimes to natural water, it gives it a spicy and pleasant flavor.

Thanks for sharing about this Janelle, prices are going up a lot here too, and as to the chicken feed, if it is artificial then it is not the best for the chickens, they should have natural feed and as you shared going local is where you find it, enjoy your day and stay awesome.

That is great to hear, I can recommend to watch what Richard Perkins has been doing, he has a Youtube channel where he shares about his growing methods with no till and all natural fertilizer using compost and grazing animals.

And also Charles Dowding as well, he has a town garden that yields a lot of produce, also no till and compost.

Egg prices here are more like 2 - 2.50 for ten or 3. but well i am located over the pond :D
I hope you can cope with the prices. The TicToc thing sounds like a typical conspiracy theory ;)

Yes, I believe it has to do with the feed they are fed with.

I have no idea if there's anything wrong with the commercial chicken feed, but surely chickens like every other animal will do better with a varied diet than eating the same thing every day?

The food for the chickens is very important, my wife has chickens and when her food changes they stop laying, eggs are also expensive in my country, but it is because of the high cost of food and medicines, but when you have your own chickens you always you save with eggs.
Thanks for the post and have a happy day.

Thank you for the input. I figured that this egg issue is far reaching. There are mysterious happenings some chicken proceedings plants in the states getting destroyed by planes crashing into them.

This is one of the reasons that we have our own chickens, though they don't yet produce quite enough eggs yet for our community's use. We only feed them kitchen scraps, and they love it! They are happy Jungle chickens! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I can see where commercial chicken feed could be the problem. So far eggs here have been under $3 a dozen, but that could change.
