Fall in Pennsylvania

I need to pack up my summer clothes. There's no need to keep them accessible, at least until February when I go to Hawaii. Hawaii is another post for another day. Suffice it to say I have been unexpectedly blessed.

It's officially fall in Pennsylvania. Temperatures dropped below 48F last week. Jeff turned on the furnace which triggered my allergies. Thankfully the Lord took the symptoms mostly away. I started the air purifier up again after a year of allowing it to sit collecting dust.

The fall leaves are beautiful this year. I've had little opportunity to photograph any examples of the rain we've been receiving. Had I thought about it, I'd have snapped a few on our drive to dinner.

It's time to mentally prepare for the coming cold and snow. I'm doing my best, but it's never easy for me the older I become.

I'm astonished we haven't had frost yet. The temperature got down to 38 once or twice, but that's it. Amazing. We got "ductless air conditioning" three years ago, I think it is also called a heat pump. It takes the chill off the upstairs quite nicely. But we'll have to start using the wood stove in the basement before much longer.
