He's been stalking her for so long that she refused go step outside without four security guards surrounding her. The clock struck 7:00 p.m. and she began to breathe shallow and look anxiously up the road. If he shows up at court with his mother she will lose. She didn't think about it after that.
The phone ran. She jumped when it rattled across the oak TV stand.
"He..h..hello?" came her tentative halting greeting.
"Miss Laden? This is Secret Agent Mullen. Please secure yourself in your basement immediately. "
"Bang, bang, Bang!"
The door groaned on its hinges and April screamed.
