Whatttt! Does regular Pad Thai Alone not sound too good anymore??

I know my account is 'Way beyond Pad Thai' as well as my Youtube channel, in this very post just excuse me and my brand name. I will be sharing exactly that 'Pad Thai' ! but wait.. we also going a little beyond that, really.


Pad Thai !

You all (or at least a lot of you ) know that Pad Thai is a well-known Thai noodle dish made of rice noodles with sweet and sour seasoning. Tamarind sauce, palm sugar, fish sauce and a few other things depends on each shop's secret recipe. Meat can go from chicken, pork, shrimps and all sort of meat you can imagine. I personally love Pad Thai shrimps. Other than that, just load tons of bean sprouts and Chinese chives.


Pad Thai Crispy wontons

As mentioned, most of Pad Thai served in form of rice noodles. This place I just discovered in Saraburi in a market called 'Sao Hai 100 year old market', do Pad Thai a little differently. S.Panich shop mixes 2 great things all in one dish. Stuffed Crispy wontons and Pad Thai! I was a little wow when hearing that and didn't know how would that actually work.

It's pretty much a very thin and crispy pork stuffed wontons and topped with Pad Thai sauce and topping. Same taste, sweet, sour and a little salty. The thing that's changed is the texture! It's extremely crispy but there's still some juicy and meaty stuffing inside the wontons.

Regular Pad Thai is great but I wouldn't mind swapping it every once in a while and come have a crispy style of Pad Thai here. Or next time when my friends are in town (of one of you Hivians visiting the country), we sure can go for this uniquely cooked Pad Thai!


S.Panich - Pad Thai Crispy Wonton 100 years @ Sao-Hai Market

This shop, S.Panich, is located in an old-school market that's been open (or at least that's what they claim they are) for more than a 100 years! The shop itself is also old school. I love this kind of set up! Besides Pad Thai Crispy wontons, they also offer regular Pad Thai, Wontons with dipping sauce, braised ducks, and other rice dishes.

Also love how it's family owned and run restaurant. Totally would come visit again when I'm in town.
