By the gods!! Give a golden gift?
Throughout a large part of human existence, the love of gold and silver has been at the forefront of many cultures amd religions. While gold has been used for monetary purposes for hundred and possibly thousands of years, many people believe that its specific and unique properties have far greater importance than "Money". For many Hindus, gold is considered precious. Hindus believe that gold has the power to purify anything it touches. It is also considered as a sign of power and wealth. Aside from that, it also symbolizes good health, prosperity, and femininity.
Hindu god - Ganesha
Ganesha (Sanskrit: गणेश, IAST: Gaṇeśa), also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found throughout India. Hindu denominations worship him regardless of affiliations.
WIKI
To celebrate Hinduism and their belief in gold, the Royal Mint has recently released this stunning 20g gold bar. With many Hindus giving gold as gifts, i can see this bar being very popular.
While looking over this bar, and trying to find out more about it and what it represents, I found myself in love with the design and all the small details this design has included.
The god Ganesh is often seen at the entrances of temples and sacred buildings. It effigy acts as a guard and protector for the building and all who enter.
This year, for the first time, the son of Shiva and Parvati will also be appearing on a this stunning 20g gold minted bullion bar. The Royal Mint vary rarely "strikes gold" (pun intended) with its designs, but i feel theyve done a fantastic job with the solod gold bar.

As i said to SS888, i wont be added to mine... bit too rich for my blood.
Maybe because of the quality of gold that it is easy to form and carve, it is and it was a favourite metal for doing such impressive carvings and jewellery.
Its one of the properties of gold that makes it so valuable.
A good addition to someone's stack!
