Day two in Sunny Beach – Sun, snacks & showbiz

If there’s a better way to spend a holiday than baking under the sun with a drink in hand and the kids splashing happily nearby, I haven’t found it yet. Day two in Sunny Beach was all about relaxation—and making the most of doing absolutely nothing productive.

We staked our claim on the sun loungers early and barely moved all day, except for the occasional drink run and food top-up. The kids were in their element—paddling, diving, and bouncing from pool to pool while I stayed as close to the shade as possible, keeping an eye on them and my steadily reddening knees. It was one of those gloriously lazy days where time slows down, and the only agenda is “when’s lunch?”

As evening rolled in, the poolside calm gave way to bright lights and music. We headed down to the entertainment area for a night of live singing, dancing, and general holiday chaos. The kids joined in every song, every dance, and every cheer. There was laughter, clapping, and even the occasional (questionable) dad dance—though I won’t name names! We ended the night with full bellies, tired feet, and a sense that this holiday is exactly what we needed. Roll on day three!
